True Beadz True Pint Review

This True Beadz blog brings a review of the True Beadz True Pint on a beer themed bracelet brimming with Ohm Beads glass.

As part of the True Beadz St Patrick’s Day collection came the True Pint, a super cute silver stein. It’s a dangle bead that retails at $55 or €55 and is compatible with Pandora or Ohm Beads charm bracelets.

With the Great Lakes Boutique hangover party ending tomorrow (and the beads being removed,) I spent a little time looking at the Ohm Beads RandOhms that were remaining. There’s quite a few beer coloured glass, versions of the Bar Brawl and Mulled Cider glass. With that in mind it seemed a good time to review the True Pint and give a little inspiration for a beer themed bracelet.

For this bracelet I wanted to use the True Pint as a focal feature and again I’ve used predominantly Ohm Beads locks from the Elements collection for the rest of the bracelet. Much like the coffee themed bracelet I featured yesterday, I wanted to pick up on wood and exposed metalwork textures from my favourite cafes and bars. All of the glass on this bracelet are by Ohm Beads though I did sneak in one artisan pearl because the colouring felt apt. As usual there’s a bead index at the end of the article if you’re unsure of any specific design.

The Ohm Beads Mulled Cider has consistently been one of my most used glass since the first version back in 2013. It’s colour is so versatile! There are some lovely RandOhm versions to be found here.

True Beadz True Pint Summary

This is one of my must have beads for the summer season. As a dangle it’s not so long that it becomes annoying and there are no sharp points that catch on clothing. It’s large enough to be easily recognisable and actually it’s quite unusual. I’m not a huge fan of summer in general (I have a low tolerance for heat and the insects that accompany it) but relaxing outside with friends and cold beers is one of the pleasures of the season.

Beyond the obvious it’s also a great addition to a fantasy themed bracelet as it has the medieval vibe that creeps into much of the True Beadz line.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the True Beadz True Pint? Did you indulge in this bead? Is it on your wishlist? Hit the comments and let me know!

I would not be in so much trouble with my bank account if you would, PLEASE, stop posting such tempting bracelets. Especially when it is currently (18:09 EDT) 80+ (26+) degrees outside, I have been working in the garden all afternoon and have worked up – as we Southerners say – a POWERFUL thirst for a cold brew. I think I shall go indulge that thirst, and then rework my beads “wish list”. Skal (please insert appropriate accent). <3

I’m sorry! 😉 I’m just hoping they prove inspiration to some people who might be pondering those RandOhms 😀 It’s been super hot here today too, though it’s not forecast to stay quite this warm! We hit mid 30s in the sun earlier but it’s raining outside now.

      Who doesn’t love a beer themed bracelet though? 😉 It’s almost a necessity 😉

      xoxo

Hate beer… Love the bead ( yes I have it!)…Love your bracelet!!!

I have to be in the mood for it and it’s definitely a taste I acquired over time. I only really drink it during summer as soon as we hit the very cold weather I lose interest 😀

I’m glad that you liked the bead though 😉

      xoxo

I was just looking at your photos on Great Lake Boutique’s Instagram and I HAVE to ask you: What is the dangle that you have hanging from the lock on the twisted bangle? There are three bangles in the photo and I know the dangle on the top bracelet is from True Beadz, but what is that on the bottom one?!? Maybe I skould know, but I can’t figure it out. I’m sorry to go off topic, but I don’t know how to ask on Instagram.

I only have clips from Pandora, to place over the threads on their bracelets. I like your ohm clips. Would they go over the pandora threads?😀😀😊

This tankard is so wicked cool! I was very excited and bought it straight away on preorder. I am a proud beer chick! Always have been always will be! If other beads would stop getting in my way I would already have a second one. Love the bracelet! Locks are great here. But I can’t help thinking I need a true taste terra cotta to be my brew. So that one has just moved up on the list for a nice summer bracelet. Slainte!

I love your idea of using two of these 😀 And it seems kinda apt too for drinking in company 😉

I actually did consider the True Taste for this but I preferred the glossy, bubbles of the Ohm Beads 😀 As you can see, I’m still on my “lock” phase 😉

      xoxo

My St. Patty’s day sheep was very drunk on my bracelet, since it was placed next to this tankard bead. I love this bead. It has a wonderful weight to it and it swings so nicely. It is wonderful for fantasy themed bracelets, also – what self respecting party doesn’t hit the tavern at least once?

    • endangeredtrolls

Exactly Katie 😉 Any good fantasy tale has a tavern scene 😀 It’s almost like a necessity 😀

I have this on my Hobbit themed bracelet and it looks really great. I also have the green glass bead that came out in the same collection (can’t remember the name right now) and I just think it looks great to capture the Shire (and a stop at the Green Dragon perhaps) along with all the Dwarven themed beads I have too on it.
