True Beadz Shadow & Neutral Bracelet Inspiration

This True Beadz blog brings a little neutral bracelet inspiration starring the new True Beadz Shadow glass.

As we’ve had a long holiday weekend in Denmark, I took a couple of hours off on Friday to head to the beach with my dog. Last week I offered a live image preview of part of the upcoming True Beadz collection with those lovely Shadow glass. I’ve been posting live image colour comparisons directly to social media (follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Great Lakes Boutique’s Instagram page,) so I put together a couple of neutral bangles to take with me.

They proved incredibly popular on social media so for the benefit of those who don’t follow me there, I wanted to include them directly on my blog too.

True Beadz Shadow & Neutral Bracelet Inspiration

I love neutral colours as they’re so easy to use regardless of what you’re wearing. I’ve always been very vocal about the lack of grey glass beads in the market so I’m obviously excited for the upcoming Shadow glass (and yes, I want more of these.) I added to the bangles with a True Blossom in Linen (and hopefully you can see the difference in the two shades,) a True Touch in Castle Stone (the newer version,) a retired Fair Wind and a Trollbeads Labradorite and Rutilated Quartz. The focal piece on the rose gold bangle (and indeed the bangle itself) is platinum and from Great Lakes Boutique. The other silver bead is the Ohm Beads Weeping Warrior which I maintain is one of the most undervalued designs I’ve ever encountered. There’s an index of the bead names and ordering links at the end of the article.

True Beadz Shadow & Neutral Bracelet Summary

I loved this combination of bangles and it’s remained intact throughout the weekend (and on my wrist.) I have a suspicion the Shadow glass is going to prove incredibly popular with fans as it’s such a soft and wearable grey shade.

That platinum bead is a near permanent addition on anything I wear and I have to confess I’ve fallen utterly in love with the brightness of the metal. As much as I appreciate the fact oxidisation can be essential to detailing (as is evidenced by the Trollbeads Sweet Berries Spacers I’ve also used here,) I love the fact the platinum just sparkles.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on this combination and are you looking forward to the upcoming True Beadz release? Hit the comments and let me know!

I LOVE everything you’ve done here! Yes, I am anxiously looking forward to the next True Beadz release. I already know that I must have the silver and the Shadow Touch. To be perfectly honest, I’m always thrilled when you post anything from Julia and Alexey. That is the only brand I can say that about. I mean no disrespect to the other brands…it’s just how it is.

No need to apologise! We all gravitate towards one brand I think and honestly, True Beadz are amazing. I’ve always been a huge fan of Julia’s glass but for me, the more recent silvers have suited my own tastes far better than the earlier ones – which were a lot of florals.

I’ve said it a hundred times by now I think but Julia has such an eye for colour and I’m pretty certain these new Shadow glass are going to be incredibly popular! I know I want multiples without a doubt πŸ˜€

I’ve gotten quite a few of the floral ( Roses, Lilacs, Beehive) already and plan to get more. They are so beautifully detailed. Then I also have the Russian Lullaby and St. Patrick’s Day silvers, which have a totally different ‘feel’ that I also love.

        • endangeredtrolls

Oh yes they’re beautifully detailed. I just feel like I’ve mostly hit critical capacity for floral silvers now. I have SO many across the brands which I know in many ways is an amazing position to be in but I prefer designs that feel different to me in some way.

That’s exactly what I love about collecting…that you can express yourself however you want. Even though I am only collecting a short time, I’m already finding my tastes changing. I would imagine yours have changed a lot over the years.

          • endangeredtrolls

Oh yes! Beads and charms can mean completely different things to one person than to someone else and that’s amazing πŸ˜€

My tastes have changed enormously over the years and even now I go through phases of what I like. For most of last year I was just not really wearing glass. It’s not that I disliked glass.. I could look at a new release and be amazed by it but for whatever reason, I didn’t like it on *me*. Now I’m back wearing it but in my own “time” and away from the blog, it’s mostly more neutral combinations and still a lot of metalics and mixed metals too.

Our tastes change as we as individuals change – or our mood or what life is doing to us at any given time changes.

            xoxo

I really, really like your bangles! I’m very excited about the forthcoming True Beadz release, too. The silver I’ve seen so far is a definite, and I think that new grey will be going toward the top of my wishlist. I especially like how it looks with the new Castle Stone. I cannot believe I missed Fair Wind; it looks great with the other beads! The GLB platinum bead is, as usual, to die for. 😊 Finally, I agree with you about Weeping Warrior. He’s a favorite of mine.

    • endangeredtrolls

I’m still baffled about the Weeping Warrior and why it’s still available at all. Maybe it’s truly a charm you need to see in person to appreciate. I wear mine so often!

I think the new Shadow glass are going to be really popular with collectors. Julia still isn’t entirely sure if there will be more silver in this collection or not but as soon as there’s a definite product list I’ll update everyone of course <3 πŸ™‚

If it makes you feel better, there's loads of True Beadz I've missed too.

      xoxo
