Trollbeads Wings of Amber with Labradorites

This Trollbeads blog brings a little inspiration for the darker Trollbeads Wings of Amber designs, styled with Labradorites.

Yesterday I shared a little bracelet inspiration starring the Trollbeads Wings of Amber and Ohm Beads Bee Ohm collection. The bracelet used the paler honey type of Wings of Amber and was styled with Feldspar Moonstones for a softer, more summer feeling bracelet.

Today I’m using the darker amber beads, including some of the cherry reds. I mentioned yesterday that actually, these cherry red colours have been really hard to find in standard amber uniques recently. They also tend to have a lot of inclusions which reflect the sunshine beautifully.

I really wanted to style these beads with the Trollbeads Labradorites. I’ve been loving the recent batches of this gemstone as they’ve been exceptional. They’re so far removed from the dark green, minimal flash versions that used to be really quite prevalent. This bracelet has a completely different vibe to yesterday and when creating it. Where yesterday had a certain summer garden quality to it, this has more of a night garden.

Trollbeads Wings of Amber Ordering Details

Wings of Amber was the limited edition bead for Trollbeads Day 2018. As with most limited editions from Trollbeads, there was no elaboration as to how many were produced so it’s impossible to predict the future availability of these beads. It is worth remembering however that retailers tend to stop listing products from live images the longer time passes so if you’re coveting these beads, take advantage of the live listings still available 😀

Trollbeads Wings of Amber with Labradorites Summary

I’m crazy about the Wings of Amber right now but as an amber fan in general there’s little wonder. My current wishlist is for one of the super pale (almost white) alabaster versions, alongside some of the really sparkly reds as pictured here.

As always I love to hear from my readers. How are you styling your Trollbeads Wings of Amber and have you had a preference in regards to the type? Hit the comments and let me know!

Wow that is a dramatic difference in the emotive feel of the beads. Thanks for exploring the contrasts.

Totally different! It’s one of the reason I love amber so much. The range in colours makes for such completely different bracelet 😀

I love the “shade” of this one, beautiful Labs!

    • endangeredtrolls

The labradorites recently have been so good. These are just beads that were in current stock 😀

Love the Amber Carved Rose and that Ohm Lotus has caught my eye! I saw the Wings of Amber with some light Blue opaque Opal stones that was also stunning!

I’m assuming that the Lotus will retire this fall 🙁 I’ve always liked the Ohm Beads Flowers despite not generally being a fan of florals.
