Trollbeads Tiara Live Images & Opinions

This Trollbeads blog showcases my own live images of the new Trollbeads Tiara.

Today sees the global launch of the new Trollbeads Tiara, though it’s very limited as to which stores have been offered the line. It’s aimed at the bridal market, or perhaps those with a bolder taste in fashion and much of the overall look will depend on how you style it. The tiara itself is relatively simple and can be worn as either a tiara or a headband. It’s designed to then be adorned with decorative spacers and a new assortment launch alongside it.

Trollbeads were kind enough to send me one slightly in advance of the release and those who follow me on social media (Facebook and Instagram) will have already seen glimpses of this. This evening I’m sharing some live studio images and my initial opinion on the lovely new tiara.

Trollbeads Tiara

First of all I’ve only been wearing it as a tiara. I’m not really a fan of headbands and it just doesn’t appeal to me so much in that way but it will work. The tiara provided came with one each of the new spacers and they’re all very pretty. They’ve used quite classic designs and there’s a feeling of the spring season. This makes absolute sense as again, they are aiming at the bridal market and most people opt for spring or summer weddings. The spacers are snug on the tiara and they are of course compatible with all of the other carriers. Do be aware though that the drop on many of these makes them, in my opinion, look a little odd worn on the wrist. The Trollbeads Floral Spacer and Floral Spacer Short are the ones that seem to have the most wiggle on the tiara itself; both laterally and in that they’re a little prone to leaning backwards.

On social media I was wearing the tiara exactly as it arrived. For these images I decided to add a lot more beads. Specifically I moved nearly all of my ACA Kreations Endangered Trolls Beads (find those here) and mixed them with dark pearls from Katzenmaiers. Ultimately I know I need to make the tiara a little darker for it to work for me.

Trollbeads Tiara Ordering Details

The tiara is seeing very limited availability and though I understand that they’re marketing this as quite a prestigious piece, I do suspect most ladies would prefer to try it before they commit to buying. You can purchase it directly from Trollbeads USA or Trollbeads UKicon (please note that the links are affiliate.) Alternatively here’s my list of retail partners carrying the line.

Trollbeads Tiara Summary

Many people have been wondering how secure the tiara is. I’ve worn it with both my hair up and down and it is worth noting I have a lot of hair and it’s naturally curly so there’s a lot of texture to it. Worn up I had no issues at all. Actually I wedged the ends so tightly into two side knots that removing it was more of the issue. With my hair down it was a tad more problematic to get it positioned with no slipping but a lot seems related to the angle. Most brides are likely to be wearing an updo for a wedding and I don’t think there’d be any issues getting it to sit snugly that way. For those who want to try and style it a little more casually in loose hair, be prepared to spend time getting it right.

I’ll be taking the tiara with me to the Spring Bead Break at Great Lakes Boutique in April and I’m hoping by that point I’ll have it styled to suit my own tastes. Do come along if you’re able as I never really know if or when I’ll be back in the USA (or indeed if I’ll get invited back!)

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Trollbeads Tiara? Will you be indulging? Hit the comments and let me know!

I won’t be getting it, but I love the fact that you have taken the tiara to a place where Trollbeads probably never thought it would go! Love it!

Now that you saying headband…. I’m wondering how it would look worn as a headband with 3 or so of the “lover’s faith” flower beads or the “troll anemone” flower pendant worn on one side of the headband for an asymmetrical look. Nothing sticking up, but laying flat to the head, as if there is a flower over the ear 🙂

I might have to go to our troll bead store to try it on 🙂

That’s exactly what I texted my friend yesterday! I would like the anemone on the side and wear it more like a headband. Won’t be able to try it out until a few weeks, so let us know how it works out. I’m thinking just a few prism spaced out might be a nice head band idea too.

I can’t wait to try one on, however, since I’ve spent my tiara funds on a beautiful ring two days ago, I have to be patient till February. But wait! February 17th will see the Trollbeads Spring release, and I’m already determined to add the Venus Flower Ring, the Water Lily lock and the Sweetness glass (expect huge variety in this glass) to my collection… Decisions, decisions.

I’d love to wear the tiara as a headband, however, it remains to be seen whether it will fit me.

Thank you so much for the precious work you do! You are definitely my number one & most preferred source when it comes to all news regarding Trollbeads (haven’t indulged in other brands yet).

    Cheers,
    Diffy
