Trollbeads Strawberry Quartz Review

This Trollbeads blog brings a dedicated review of the Trollbeads Strawberry Quartz, part of the fall 2017 collection.

As part of the Trollbeads Fall 2017 collection, two new gemstones made their debut. It’s no secret that I enjoy a huge love affair with gemstones. I chose that description precisely because I find a certain air of romance about them. Their variation and individuality is such that they truly bring something personal to a bracelet. The two stones for fall were the Trollbeads Strawberry Quartz and the Trollbeads Cat’s Eye Agate and both have earned places on the most popular sellers for the autumn release.

The Strawberry Quartz retails at $63, €58 or £50 and of course has a small core so you need a Trollbeads chain for this. It’s so named due to it’s darker coloured speckled pattern but the stone itself varies from very pale blush shades down to deep raspberries. The latter seem to be the most scarce.

This is another example of a bead I personally feel needs to be purchased from live images. The colours really do vary.

It’s not a substitute for a ruby and the shades just don’t reach those cerise colours. Below you can see a comparison with the Trollbeads Ruby, the Trollbeads Rose Quartz and the Trollbeads Feldspar Moonstone.

Many fans of gemstones are equally enthusiastic about amber. The recent Trollbeads Amber has been spectacular and for me most especially the marbled ambers. I’ve been asked a couple of times to showcase the marbled amber I’ve now acquired so a couple of mine, plus some additional beads are appearing today. I’ve mixed them with the Strawberry Quartz and even included the aforementioned Feldspar Moonstone to create a really warm, autumnal feeling bracelet. There’s a bead index at the end of the article if you’re unsure of any of the designs featured.

Trollbeads Strawberry Quartz Summary

I love this stone and it’s definitely one that I will eventually want in multiples. I’ve yet to find one quite as deep or vibrant as the stock image suggests, though a batch I played with at Bead Bash were definitely close.

For super simple styling, it looks amazing on the new Trollbeads Star Bangle as the contrast with the grey is amazing!

I love Strawberry Quartz, just purchased two. Those Marbled Ambers are amazing though.

Thank you <3 🙂 I waited a long, long time to get my hands on those 😉

  2. Kim

Wow! I love the mix of the quartzes with the ambers. That is an amazing and inspired combo. And you know I LOVE those ambers!

  3. Gene

You have gotten me SO obsessed with gemstones, Victoria! I was just thinking yesterday; actually, that the Strawberry Quartz will be the next one I get. I’m waiting to find a deeper colored one if possible….that’s where your live photos will come in handy. I can absolutely see why you have been wanting the Marbled Amber so badly…it’s incredible! And Feldspar Moonstone is one of my favorite gemstones I have so far. Your bracelet is beautiful….and I especially love your bangle.

Lovely bracelet – I really love Strawberry Quartz and I’ve been appreciating your live photos to help me pick my favorites. One thing that would be really nice is to post the pic of the bracelet with all the beads numbers to correspond to the individual beads. Some characteristics are more easily seen when they are side by side.

Back to the bracelet – your incredible marble ambers look incredible with the gemstones. I love your combinations.

I’m still trying to refine and perfect the live listings I do over at GLB. I *want* it to be the best shopping experience possible for collectors who cannot shop in store – which is most of us :p At the same time I need to be careful not to make things too complicated 😀 But perhaps I could take one picture of the beads together… and then include it in each individual listing with a big arrow pointing to which one it is :p

      I will see! 😀

      xoxo
