Trollbeads Spring 2018 Jumbo Uniques Preview

This Trollbeads blog brings a preview of some of the new styles of Trollbeads Spring 2018 Jumbo Uniques.

Earlier in the week I posted a showcase of some of the new Trollbeads Spring 2018 small unique kits which mostly seem to feature new bugs and the return of the ionic Armadillo design. At the time I did mention there were also new Jumbo Unique Kits but I didn’t have any images I could use.

This weekend we’re hosting a predominantly Trollbeads online event at Great Lakes Boutique and I managed to get my greedy hands on some of the new kits. Those of you who have been enjoying the new floral design that appeared late last year should enjoy these!

Trollbeads Spring 2018 Jumbo Uniques

I suspect the most coveted of the new designs could be the new Trollbeads Jumbo Unique Tulip. I will state though that this design also seems to be incredibly rare. The new floral beads that so many have been chasing are appearing in new shades, including a beautiful bright yellow for the spring and an absolutely amazing inky blue. Lastly there’s a new style of flower design which I find a little reminiscent of some kind of lily pad. It’s base looks somewhat aquatic. All of these kits will be available at Great Lakes over the course of the next two days and we’ll be announcing listings on Facebook so do be sure to follow there. Be warned this is image heavy but they’re so lovely! (Take note of the pale blue flower in the third kit down!)

Trollbeads Spring 2018 Jumbo Uniques Summary

My appreciation of Jumbo Uniques sadly developed quite late and I missed so many beautiful designs. I am lucky enough to have one of the coveted black flowers and there are already a number of these new designs I’d love. The tulip and the blue flower in the third kit down are absolute favourites.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the new Trollbeads Spring 2018 Jumbo Unique Kits? Do you have any immediate favourites? Hit the comments and let me know!

I have a love-hate relationship with uniques. I do like the Jumbos because I wear them on necklaces and the size works for necklaces. But, I hate the hunt for the ‘perfect’ unique. I like the Tulip and the Blue Flower that you mentioned. But, the likelihood that I will ever be able to purchase one is slim. Which just leads to frustration and irritation.

I get it and of course the time you find one you want is when you don’t have the money πŸ˜‰ Right now these are available and I’ll be putting them live throughout the next two days if you’re interested πŸ™‚

Really wonderful new designs, im loving the frogs. But i wish they were sold individually, the kits are just too expensive.

    • endangeredtrolls

Aaaw I’m sorry. Unfortunately I think unless Trollbeads start selling to retailers as individual beads, most will ultimately be sold in kits πŸ™

      • Lisa G

I don’t think trollbeads has any plans to sell them individually. Sometimes they will let you swap out a “non-novelty” bead from a few extras they have hanging around if there’s one you absolutely hate. But the novelty ones, like the tulip, have to drive the sale of the kits. I find the jumbos very big, so don’t really purchase them. But I did purchase a nice classic size kit with spider, ladybug and bee from GLB this morningπŸ˜›πŸ˜›

  3. Marilyn Kneitl

Wow! You can reach me at the Poor House! Love them!

    • endangeredtrolls

      I hear ya πŸ˜‰ Aren’t they amazing? :O :O

  4. Jane

Love the flower designs, and the frogs are just adorable. The jumbo designs are getting better and better, oh dear my wish list is getting longer and longer.

    • endangeredtrolls

I’m so in love with the jumbos and like you I think the new flowers are amazing :O Oh for a tulip.. and that blue flower! πŸ˜€

  5. Jamie

Ooohh I see some nice ones! I’m still not sold with the larger beads, I guess the small size of uniques just fits me πŸ€— But I really like what I’m seeing here. Some nice swirls, bubbles and flowers. I guess we’ll have to see what’s available when I am able to get my hands on a few…. The hunt is very unsure and frustrating but sometimes fun πŸ˜…

    • endangeredtrolls

I was never convinced by them either. I have tiny wrists.. I wear bangles.. they just didn’t seem for me. Now I’m crazy about them πŸ™

  6. Giovanna Cattaneo

I like a lot the jumbo beads! My favourite peacock and frog. I am very sorry that they are not sold in Italy and in addition that they are sold only as set and not loose.

    • endangeredtrolls

I’m sorry you can’t find them at Italian retailers but at least retailers can ship globally πŸ™‚

  7. Ilse

I keep wondering why Trollbeads keep making beads no one really wants and then sell them by combining them in sets with beads people do want but can’t buy without also buying the ones they do not like. Surely Trollbeads should know by now which beads people like, so why annoy your customers making large amounts of beads in colours and patterns people do not like and then, in a way, force them on your customers. Of course the customer can say no, but that means also missing out on the beauties. It’s a mystery to me.

    • Fiona

You said exactly what I was thinking Ilse!

    • Ilse

But now I got my long wanted dragonfly anyway, because they are now selling some uniques individually at Great Lakes Boutique. So thanks so much to the people at Great Lakes Boutique!

  8. Ashley Durden

    Hi Victoria,
I was on the Trollbeads website today and under limited edition beads I saw a summer butterflies glass bead but it said not available? What do you know about that one?

  9. MaLa

WOW is all I can say, these kits are beautiful in design and colours. I personally do not purchase Jumbo beads, find them too big for bracelets, but I enjoy looking at them
