Trollbeads Roses for Mom Pre-Fall Inspiration

This Trollbeads blog brings a little pre-fall inspiration for the limited edition Trollbeads Roses for Mom bead.

The limited edition Trollbeads Roses for Mom debuted back in February for Mother’s Day 2017. The early release date always shocks some readers but it’s to account for the UK market celebrating Mothering Sunday in March, as opposed to the more widely recognised May occasion.

Much like Mother’s Rose before it, there were initial stock shortages and I suspect this is related to the complexity of the glass. It retails at $56, €51 or £45 and uses a small core so it’s only compatible with Trollbeads bracelets and bangles.

I’m absolutely in autumn mood right now. I’m busy photographing various autumn beads and campaigns and it leaves me craving the new season. While we’re all sat waiting for the preview of the Trollbeads Autumn 2017 collection, I decided to revisit Roses for Mom on a pre-fall inspired bracelet.

Trollbeads Roses for Mom

This is such a busy design that I’ve always preferred styling it with other more simple glass or stones. For this article I wanted to team it with some golden, honey coloured ambers and deep fall coloured stone beads. The Trollbeads Red Tiger Eye has always been one of my favourite stones and my first choice for delivering the chestnut tones so iconic to the autumn season. There’s very little silver on this bracelet and what does feature are purely Trollbeads spacers.

This bead does show some variation both in terms of it’s size (which you’ll notice on this bracelet) but also in the design. Some flowers show more of the black-grey base between them for example. If you are very particular about your glass, it is worth trying to order from live images.

Trollbeads Roses for Mom Ordering Details

This was a limited edition and it’s always difficult to know how long stocks will last. Right now most retailers seem to have the bead but one has to ponder how long Trollbeads will continue to make it as we move into the colder months. You can shop directly from Trollbeads USA or Trollbeads UKicon (and please note both links are affiliate,) or via my retail partners below. Those selling from live images are marked with a *.

Trollbeads Roses for Mom Summary

Though I’m not generally a floral glass fan (I feel they look incredibly dated after seeing so many colour versions from Trollbeads over the years,) I do love these more complex designs. They have such a depth to them though I would love to see them produce a version in blacks, greys or even white (but appreciate it might have more limited appeal.)

If you already own this bead, don’t yet tuck it away for the autumn season as it truly looks beautiful styled with stones and deeper colours and with the Redbalifrog Woodlands collection launching next week, there’s potential there too.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Trollbeads Roses for Mom? Did you indulge in this bead or is it still on your wishlist? Hit the comments and let me know!

If I were a mom, this combo would suit my slightly more gothic style (not really a pink girl). This is truly gorgeous and funky. You’re making me re-think this bead for a creepy Victorian Halloween theme.

    • endangeredtrolls

Oooooooh I like that idea! I might come back to it for Halloween I think 😉

      xoxo

This is what I love about your blog, Victoria! The idea Samantha has of a Victorian Halloween themed bracelet…Never in a million years would I have thought of that.

        • endangeredtrolls

No, it’s awesome to be able to bounce ideas around 😀 My readers are amazing 😀

          xoxo

Love what you have done with this. Not a huge fan of flowers. Not a huge fan of Orange. (Have really pink skin) orange looks bad on me! But love the darkening down, the stone are fabulous and make it so much more wearable.

    • endangeredtrolls

I have very pale skin with pink undertones too. It’s not a good colour for us 😉 BUT we tend to rock the deeper, sumptuous shades so I was kinda hoping everything would balance out here 😉

So pleased you like it <3

I have the Roses for Mom bead and mine shows a fairly good amount of the black background. I have found it a little tricky matching it up with the glass I have. I love what you did with it using the stones. Hessonite Garnet and Red Tiger Eye are definitely on my list! I wonder if the Feldspar Moonstone might work with the Roses for Mom???….I’ll have to try it.

    • endangeredtrolls

I used it with the Feldspar Moonstone in the original review 🙂

And yes it’s not the easiest glass to style in my opinion.

What a beautiful combo, thanks for showing it.

I myself are neither a gemstone nor an amber collector and though I am collecting since 2006 and have lots of beads, there are only a few gemstones and ambers in my bead box . It is a great pleasure for me looking at your wonderful and harmonious bracelets. I have a pair of Roses for Mom and love combining them with pink and orange beads in a very colourful combi. I also like wearing them with a few silver beads in a symmetrical combination on my twisted bangle.

    • endangeredtrolls

It took me a long time to develop an appreciation for amber I must admit. Now I’m crazy about it. I’ve always loved the gemstones though. I get a certain thrill from the variation they can have. You never *really* know what you might find. It’s for that reason I really enjoying photographing stones too. Sometimes the macro lens picks up on things I didn’t really notice and they can be the most beautiful details.

I didn’t care for the last Mother’s Day Rose, but I do like this one, and pair it with ambers, gold Quartz, the peach feldspar, and especially the TB day 2017 rutilated Quartz. Thanks for the inspiring photos!

    • endangeredtrolls

I *love* the Trollbeads Golden Rutilated Quartz. I’m so obsessed with that bead at the moment 😀 Thank you for your kind words 🙂

a most beautiful composition, just right for fall

    • endangeredtrolls

Aaaw thank you <3 🙂 I'm so pleased that you like it 🙂

Your bracelet is beautiful but Roses for Mom is definitely not for me. I don’t mind flowers but these three colours together I don’t like. I didn’t like the other one just in pink either. Too pink! 😝
BUT I would LOVE to see in with only white roses! This is a great idea!!! And in red. The two would be great for a Queen of Hearts from Alice bracelet 😊

  8. Beth

I currently have my pair of Roses for Mom on a bracelet with pinks and oranges (who even knew I liked this color combination?!), and I won’t be taking it apart until I have to. After seeing what you’ve done here, I know I won’t be putting my Roses away for the Fall. I only have a couple of ambers thus far, though I’d eventually like more, but I also have a pair of Hessonite Garnets. I now have some new ideas for some end-of-the-summer and early autumn bracelets. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • endangeredtrolls

You could easily put Roses for Mom between your Hessonite Garnets on a bangle and be perfectly ready for the autumn! 😀 The combination is really lovely 😀 And you’re most welcome as always <3

      xoxo

  9. Arielle

I really like this! I thought of Roses for Mom as very frilly and girly (which I actually like and is why I want to get this bead), but you showed that it can pick up autumn colors and look very sophisticated as well. Gorgeous choices on your bracelet!
