Trollbeads Pearls Inspiration

This Trollbeads blog brings a little bangle inspiration starring the Trollbeads Pearls.

With the winter sale ending in the USA at midnight tonight, the next big focus will be on the Trollbeads Spring 2019 collection and the Trollbeads Valentine’s 2019 release. I’m so looking forward to the new spring beads!

Meanwhile the Valentine’s collection is the single Trollbeads Lovebirds silver.

As much as I do like the new silver, I’ve was enamored by the campaign images from last Valentine’s where the brand showed stacked bangles with pearls. Today I’m sharing my version.

Trollbeads Pearls Inspiration

As a collector I was late growing an appreciation of pearls. They just never really appealed to me until last year. Then I became somewhat obsessed. This also helps explain why I’m so excited for the return of the Trollbeads Peacock Pearl later this month. I have always loved mixing different metals for contrast though, with my personal favourite being rose gold with heavily oxidised silver. This is the bangle stack I’ve been wearing for the past couple of weeks.

It uses the Great Lakes Boutique Rose Gold Bangle, the Trollbeads Star Bangle, the new Trollbeads Heart Bangle, the Trollbeads Twisted Gold Bangle and the Trollbeads Silver Bangle. This creates a contrast not just in colour but also texture. You can actually also see the asymmetric look of the Heart Bangle here too. The Palace of Amber Rose Gold Stoppers (find those here) feature against the heavily oxidised Star Bangle. For reference the Star Bangle is by far the best I’ve found for those wanting a dark look purely because there’s no plating used, it just relies on the oxidisation of those set details and due to this, it doesn’t fade. On the Heart Bangle I’ve used some chunkier spacers against the pink pearl to add a little edge. The very top silver bangle is designed to be worn the other way around with the edges to the top of the wrist. I usually always wear at least one bangle in my own stacks like this, sometimes with beads on the very ends and other times not. For reference I’ve never lost a bead but I do stick to the plain spacers for this look.

Absolutely everything featured here aside from the Heart Bangle is in the winter sale and we’ve listed an assortment of pearls from live images. They’re proving so popular ahead of the Peacock Pearl launch!

I never really paid attention to the heart bangle before, but I like that knife edge look with the other bangles. I’m also not a big pearl fan, but this stack is beautiful.

The problem with the Heart Bangle is that in images, it barely looks different to the plain bangle so I think it was largely overlooked. In person it’s very different and when worn, you notice it even more. It feels very contemporary. I actually wear mine mostly without any beads at all. It’s a really strong addition to the line but perhaps one that most people need to see to appreciate.

P.S. Pearls are amazing and you need some 😛

    Hi Victoria
You have mentioned the GLB rose gold bangle….are you now stocking those?!
Also I left a message on the live chat asking if you stock the white pearl tassel but never heard back😊

We have always stocked the bangle. It’s custom made by Mike and you just need to contact me to order.

In regards to the Pearl Tassel it’s right here – https://www.greatlakesboutique.net/search?q=pearl+tassel 🙂 The search function is on the top left of the website 🙂

Thank you I knew you had your bangle custom made but wasn’t aware it was from Mike.
I couldn’t find the tassel while placing my order.
In my chat message I also had mentioned that I found it difficult to search for Trollbeads pearls. I ordered all the pearls of the month and had to search individually for each one.
If you had a heading for pearls or silver with pearl/stones/glass it would make the search so much faster. Just a suggestion…😊

I love the combination of the pink and white pearls and the oxidized star bangle and rose stopper. Last year I made a bangle with these and added the moonlight cat and rose quartz and thought that looked very lovely too. I guess I also want some peacock pearls, but I am not sure yet how to wear those. Maybe with the prehnite peacock?
