Trollbeads Opal Jaguar Review

This Trollbeads blog bring a dedicated review of the Trollbeads Opal Jaguar, part of the Spring 2018 collection and a personal favourite.

When the Trollbeads Spring 2018 collection was first unveiled, the community was abuzz with the peacock designs and both are absolutely beautiful. One of my favourite designs however is the new Trollbeads Opal Jaguar.

It has a lovely creamy base with dark green markings. It feels more seasonal and more apt for right now. More recently I’ve been speaking to a lovely reader who has been working on a bracelet theme based upon this bead. I decided to sit down and play with it myself.

Trollbeads Opal Jaguar

This bangle combination is inspired by the very first whispers of spring. It’s still cold and there’s not much colour yet aside from the new shoots being just a touch more vibrant. I’ve combined the Opal Jaguar with Green Jaspers and a couple of lovely Carved Ambers.

This is such a lovely design and though it’s not as obviously flashy as the Garnet Feathers or Prehnite Peacock, it’s so very wearable.

I love this bead! I matched mine up with the prehnite peacock and they look great together.

I love it too 🙂 I mean don’t get me wrong I think the new Prehnite Peacock and Garnet Feathers are both amazing but one is very bright – too bright for me just yet. I like this because it feels seasonal and I love the cream base 😀

This is actually my fave. It’s a warm bead, calm and attractive to the eye, but not distracting or repellent for being too busy. I have two, but I wear just one on copper. I buy multiples, but I rarely use multiples, and I refuse to look too deeply into this. Lol.

Yes! You summed it up perfectly! I love the peacocks but they are VERY busy beads. There’s nothing wrong with that but sometimes.. less is more 🙂 That’s what I like about this bead. It’s not the crazy in your face design. It’s more subtle and it’s wearable and it’s so very seasonal 😀

(Pairs look better in the bead box..)

I knew that Opal Jaguar was popular, but I wasn’t all that interested in it. That is, until you showed it here! It’s really lovely. Green is a favorite color of mine, but I’m very picky about what shades I like. My tastes run to the mossy and olive greens rather than overly bright, knock-your-eye-out shades. This, though, is one of those rare dark greens that are exactly right. There are lots of possibilities for using it with my existing collection. The two bangles are so attractive. I even like the Blaze Stripe which I wasn’t wild about before. And you showed the Lightning Bud spacer! I’ve been waiting to see it in use. I love it. I have the Sneaky Fox spacer, and I’m getting so much use from it. It works so well with nature themes, plus it adds a touch of whimsy to a simple bangle. Thanks, Victoria!

Blaze Stripe is beautiful. I think it’s going to get overlooked because it’s “just another” stripe bead and that’s definitely not new to Trollbeads but it’s very pretty in person. It’s a lovely shade of green and of course green and gold is such a classic combination. I really like it 🙂

The Lightning Bud Spacer is lovely though I only have one and that bugs me because I don’t like mismatched spacers 😀 Hence you probably won’t see it so much for a while.

Once thing I did notice about it.. and actually I noticed the same with my gold Lovesome Spacer… they are VERY tight. Trollbeads had issues with some of their first decorative spacers being a little wiggly. These are a bit the opposite 😀
