Trollbeads Inspiration – Night Sky

An earlier article drew inspiration from a misty morning for a Trollbeads bracelet. Today’s Trollbeads blog article continues the theme, this time attempting to reflect the sky at sundown.

For most of my life I’ve lived in the countryside. The exception was a couple of years spent in downtime Copenhagen (which has since borne a love of the city.) I’ve had horses from a young age and for me it’s a definite lifestyle choice. There are undoubtedly disadvantages, particularly during the winter months. In previous years we’ve been stranded due to snow laden roads. Being so far from major civilization has it’s draws and I love the lack of city glow in the evenings that expose the beauty of the night sky. Earlier in the week I was riding just before full dark and the most perfect crescent moon crept out. The sky almost looked edited due to it’s clarity and perfection.

Yesterday I published Trollbeads bracelet inspiration based on a morning mist theme. Today I’m attempting to capture those perfect and precious few moments between dusk and full dark.

Trollbeads Inspiration – Night Sky

I’ve dabbled with night sky bracelets multiple times and never quite perfected the look. The focal point of this bracelet is the Redbalifrog Luna Moon, surrounding by white Trollbeads in an attempt to create a glow. The remaining glass beads are a mix of blues and blacks. The silver beads are a mix of stars, icons of winter with a couple of nature themed beads honouring the silhouetted tree line I was looking at when I decided to create this bracelet.

Very pretty “night sky”! Do you have a bead list to go with the design Victoria? I like it!

Thank you Victoria! I now really wish I’d spent the money and bought that really gorgeous blue Sapphire. Oh well, look at all the other new beads I have in the beadbox! 😉 Faye

I’ve said that oh so many times about the Trollbeads Ruby too 🙁 My ongoing Harry Potter bracelet.. in my head it features gold beads and rubies. I have zero rubies! Of course I’ll manage to come up with something else but once you have an idea in your head, it’s very hard to shake it!

I’m waiting on a second sapphire 😀 I’m so excited to see it 😀

          /hugs

Ideally I think I’d replace the Novobeads Mini CZs.. another Trollbeads Sapphire would have been perfect on this and so would a couple of dark blue galaxy beads from the small & beautiful (but I don’t have any!)

But we all make do with what we have right? 😀

      /hugs

Victoria wrote, “We all make do with what we have…”. We certainly do, Victoria, we do for sure! And your inspiring creativity helps us figure out how!

There are always times that I’m trying to put together bracelet ideas and find myself thinking “oh I wish I had x bead or y bead! :(” I think we all just have to work with the best substitutes we have and if it’s a bracelet combination you really like, take note of what beads would complete it. (Like for me with the Rising Sun beads for my Asian bracelet!!)

          /hugs

    This is just gorgeous!!
I’s love to have the shooting star bead! I may just have to shave off a few of the beads that I want to get in order to own this one! I bet it’s even nicer in person.

I really liked the last bracelet you did as well.

I have like four on the go trying to finish them and I still haven’t even go anything new from the Christmas release AND if I get that shooting star that will probably be it along with last years release. I have a few of those.
I’m getting a couple of Kathy’s gold mirrored and red dillos so I think that will look pretty festive.

    Thanks!!

    • Faye

I have a couple of Kathy Perras’ gold & red mirror dillos and they are perfect for my Halloween bracelet and will be perfect for a festive Christmas bracelet too now that you mention it, Tracey!

      • Tracey

Gosh I hadn’t thought about that!
The irony is that I had seen them in her Etsy shop for ages and just put off getting them. Suddenly they were all gone! So I messaged her and she is making more setting aside a couple for me. 🙂 Such a nice lady. It’s such a privilege owning her work.

    Lovely!

I wasn’t familiar with the RBF Luna Moon but now I think I need one. I’ve also dragged my feet forever about getting one of her white coral beads.

Beautiful chalcedonies as well! I have one but it doesn’t look nearly so impressive. I wonder why that would be…

And 2 of those hellaciously expensive TB star-whatevers! You are one lucky girl, Victoria! Wear them in great health and happiness. ;>

    • Faye

Rainey, I bought the RBF Luna moon for my UFO sci-fi bracelet when the RBF new release came out. It’s AWESOME! You will love it. It’s quickly become one of my favorite beads and goes with so many themes. It made me realize I definitely need more RBF beads…the silver is so substantial and the detail is unparalleled.

Luna Moon is great! The texturing on it looks spot on for the moon in my opinion 😀

I use mine so often as it’s perfect for anything spooky or night time-y (technical terminology there ;))

I’m imagining a blue goldstone or two might sit nicely amongst your lovely selection, Victoria…..and with your amazing photography the little twinkles would burst to life.
