Trollbeads Forest Mist Review

This Trollbeads blog brings a dedicated review of the Trollbeads Forest Mist glass, part of the autumn 2017 collection.

When it comes to the Trollbeads Autumn 2017 collection, Forest Mist has to be one of the most popular new designs. This glass is absolutely stunning though it varies enormously so it’s definitely worth choosing in person or shopping live images.

The bead retails at $34, €31 or £25 and of course it uses a small core so it isn’t compatible with Ohm Beads or Pandora charm bracelets.

This glass varies from grape shades or purple through to moss greens and sunset yellows. It has a black detailing atop the base colour and again the amount you’ll see varies from bead to bead. It’s certainly a bead I’m coveting in multiples.

The colours are reminiscent of twilight for me. Autumn sunsets can be so spectacular and this was the vibe I was aiming for on this bracelet. I’ve combined Forest Mist with some of the new Trollbeads Strawberry Quartz (another best seller from the fall release) and a single Labradorite. All of the silvers are also from the new collection and nearly all are Trollbeads; the Redbalifrog Owl Nest sneaked in. There’s a bead index at the end of the article if you’re unsure of any design.

Trollbeads Forest Mist Summary

I’m still struggling to pick an absolute favourite design from the autumn release but Forest Mist is very high up that list. It’s a bead I personally want in multiples and I suspect it will be a little like Azure Bubbles; every bead is so different!

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Trollbeads Forest Mist? Did you indulge in this bead? Hit the comments and let me know!

I absolutely love your featured bracelet. It perfectly captures the feel of an autumn sunset. And although I love the colors here, the Wise Owl and the Sneaky Fox keep calling out to me whenever I see them. I agree Forest Mist is a fantastic bead, and I really like all the variation in them. Although I should not be looking at beads so soon after last weekend, I did just order one of these – I found one that was exactly what I wanted, and well, sometimes you just have too! A couple of Marbles somehow fell into my cart too. Maybe my cat pushed the button to order those while I was looking elsewhere???

The thing is with Forest Mist.. it varies so much that it’s a little like gemstones. If you see *the* one, you have to order it! What if you never find one like it again?! :O Remember beads are round-ish.. they roll.. It’s not your fault 😉

It could be worse Kim, at least I hadn’t listed the latest ambers yet 😀 😀

For which I thank you! 😉

I really do love the fall collection. I’ve been a little meh on Trollbeads the last couple of years – I thought the collections were nice, but not particularly inspiring for the most part. But the fall collection! I love the glass, I love several of the silvers. I bought a few of my favorites from the faceted kit right off the bat, even though I was trying not to spend money before Bead Bash. And now again we see that I have no self-control at all.

It’s not your fault! They vary so much! 😛

When I first started working at GLB I got to play with a batch of gemstones.. in there was the most PERFECT sapphire and emerald. Literally the best examples I’ve ever seen. I told myself if I really wanted one, I could have it. Anyway, sold both. Regret it :'( Sometimes you just have to grab those perfect beads.

I love your bracelet, Victoria. The Forest Mist beads are so beautiful in their variations that I would wear a few of them alone. And the more I see the Strawberry Quartz the more I know I want one. I am spent out for this month….Please don’t show the Amber.

    • endangeredtrolls

Strawberry Quartz is beautiful. According to Trollbeads USA that’s one of the other big sellers from autumn. The ambers will be up at some point. There’s some left over from Bead Bash 😀

I love everything about this bracelet. The silvers you picked are lovely with the glass and stones. The Forest Mist remind me of twilight, also, and the stones, particularly the strawberry quartz, intensify that effect. I already have two, but, as I think I mentioned previously, they’re paler than I had hoped for. They do have, however, some really attractive veining. I bought, er, a couple (or three) more of them based on your live pics at GLB. I’m really hoping that the new ones are deep enough in color to bring out the tones in the ones I have. The strawberry quartz will have to wait for awhile (unless I find the most perfect one, lol). I think if I put them with other deeper and complementary glass, they’ll all look great. Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂

  4. Pippa

Gorgeous bracelet – I love all the versions you’ve found and it looks so good with the stones. Makes me want to play with mine and maybe get more.

    • endangeredtrolls

      You should absolutely play! 😀
