Trollbeads Flowers of the Month Inspiration

This Trollbeads blog revisits the Trollbeads Flowers of the Month series (or examples from it) for a new season bracelet.

The Trollbeads Flowers of the Month series (or Trollbeads Birth Month Flowers set) launched in the autumn of 2013 and despite my general lack of enthusiasm for anything floral, I loved them. Their sizes vary from really quite petite to focal designs and all are accented with a freshwater pearl.

Danish retailer Perlen are currently offering a promotion centred on these beads. It’s called the Floral Dreams Campaign and it ends on May the 14th so there’s just a couple more days in which to participate. It offers a bracelet, lock and your choice of Flower of the Month bead all for the total price of $111 (reduced from a retail value of $158.) Actually if you’re shopping from the USA the price is lower due to the VAT refund. It’s a super offer so now seems as good a time as any to revisit those Flower of the Month beads with a little inspiration for the warmer weather.

I haven’t been able to use all of the Birth Month Flowers on this bracelet. All twelve take up a substantial portion of chain. I also wanted to include the new Trollbeads Water Lily Family from the Spring 2017 collection as I do love the contemporary feel of the bead. This is a colour scheme I’ve wanted to experiment with for some time. Regular readers will know that I’m a huge fan of the Trollbeads Feldspar Moonstone. Incidentally Great Lakes Boutique still have these beads listed from live images as part of the Spring Bead Break event so do check those out. The remainder of the colour comes from True Beadz and is a mix of plums and icy blues. There’s a bead index at the end of the article if you’re unsure of any specific design.

Trollbeads Flowers of the Month Summary

A “true” spring themed floral bracelet has felt a little overdue on my blog, though in fairness the warmer weather has been very slow in reaching Denmark. I do love the colours of this combination though I think maybe the blues would be better replaced with more grey tones (perhaps the new True Beadz Shadow glass.)

There’s an absolute plethora of choice out there when it comes to floral silver beads but the Trollbeads versions are somewhat classics now and I prefer their chunky size. That said it’s also worth looking at the new Ohm Beads Flower Collection as I was very (pleasantly) surprised by those too, both in terms of size and intricacy.

First, your bracelet is beautiful! I did the Perlen campaign and I think it might be delivered today as a matter of fact. I got the Violet of February. Then I chose the Soft Wind of Change lock, which I have been wanting “forever.” Being in the U.S. the cost was under $100 with shipping, so that was really a great deal! Eventually, I would also love to get the Rose of June.

The Soft Wind of Change Lock is one of my absolute favourites. The Rose of June is really large! It’s an amazing focal piece πŸ˜€

I just got my package from Perlen. I love the Violet of February bead…it is so pretty with the pearl nestled in the leaves. The Soft Wind of Change lock is even better than I expected! I like to have my lock coordinate as best as I can with the theme of my bracelet, which can be a little tricky with only three locks to choose from. This lock; in my opinion, will go with everything.

This bracelet is beautiful! I didn’t realize the pearl was in each flower. Lovely. I might get two Octobers for my kids birth month. As for silver charms, one that I’ve admired for years is the Victory troll. It’s stunning. I hope to one day get it but I’m waiting for the right time. I want it to coincide with a personal victory. ☺️

Yes they all have pearls in the design *somewhere*. Some are centralised, others are somewhat hidden but they’re there πŸ˜€ It’s such a lovely series of beads. I’d definitely recommend them πŸ˜€

Ive got the rose of June last april for my birthday, Ive been wanting it for ages and I wear it very often on my bangle. I love how it draws your eye to it!
I also have the anemone and indian cress wich I wear on the bangle. They are Just made for it! And these are also my only flower beads haha
Ive have some of the waterlily family on my wishlist now, they are amazing.

I’m really enjoying the Water Lily Spacers right now. I’m hoping decorative spacers is something Trollbeads keep pursuing in the future as I don’t feel we have anywhere near enough choice on stoppers!

And yes you’re right the Rose of June is a lovely focal piece. It’s size, it’s realistic design.. it’s very well executed πŸ˜€

      xoxo

I have 6 from this collection and they look lovely together on a bracelet with 2 pearl, white diamond, white bubble and steel.
