Trollbeads Fall 2017 Glass Variations

This Trollbeads blog brings a showcase of the potential variations to be found in some of the new Trollbeads Fall 2017 glass and stones.

I’m more than a little enthusiastic about Trollbeads right now. In my heart I’ve always been a Trollbeads collector but this year felt so quiet to me. Brushing all of that aside, the brand just released an amazing autumn 2017 collection. For the observant individuals out there, you may have also noticed some incredible amber kits currently circulating retailers (and on a ridiculously personal note, I finally have the marbled amber I have lusted over for a decade.)

In my original live image preview I stressed that I felt this was a release to shop from live images. Aside from the two stone beads which predictably vary enormously, the glass differ too. Interestingly in that same article I mentioned that some of my samples had been quite petite in their size. Some readers who had the pleasure of seeing the beads in person ahead of release were quick to correct me and state actually they’d seen multiple examples of standard sized beads. The topic arose again today on my social media after some followers had been shopping. To clarify again, yes the glass are varying in size but there are plenty of normal sized versions out there.

As I’ve had the amazing task of photographing quite a lot of these beads recently, today I’m sharing my own live images of the potential variation. There’s a minor disclaimer in that I don’t have pictures of everything.

Trollbeads Fall 2017 Glass Variations

One of my favourite beads from the new release has been Forest Mist and I don’t seem to have been alone in that view. This bead varies from lavender shades through to the oranges and yellows of a sunset. The amount of darker detailing you see also varies. I would love a bracelet full of these and I suspect this is going to become the new Azure Bubbles, in the sense that it’s never the same bead.

The remainder of the Forest Secrets Kit is comprised of Sparkling Moss, Leaf Fall, Slumber and Marble.

Slumber is a lovely bead and I like it far more in person than I had predicted. It has a creamy base with vibrant lime and peach coloured spots and it reminds me incredibly of nougat. It’s a bead that on the surface doesn’t seem to have much variation but pay attention to the base and you’ll see different shades and markings.

Marble has enormous variation and is such a lovely bead. It’s reminiscent of the long retired Glass Stone but is arguably more dramatic. It also makes for an amazing Halloween glass as you’ll see in future articles.

Lastly is Marble Dot, a very neutral bead. The dots are actually bronze glitter and these do vary in size and number enormously.

Moving onto the Forest Life Kit, Willow Twigs is the bead that varies the most and it’s so beautiful in person. The striped detailing can range from almost chocolate browns to mossy greens and caramels.

Glimpse of Green has become another favourite for me, despite the fact I don’t generally like the colour. I think it’s the design and execution that I admire and the faceted cut actually brings a lot to the bead. This does vary though with the green bands being mostly a moss green but appearing in more vibrant emeralds too.

Forest Glam is a bead I fell in love with. I’ve always like orange and navy shades for the Halloween season and this bead is so striking. The neutral bands prevent it being too overwhelming. All of the beads I’ve seen have been very neatly executed.

Acorns is a bead I liked in person more than I predicted. It’s actually quite cute and I have a review of it scheduled for over the coming two weeks. It does vary but mostly in size and again all of the examples I’ve seen have been crisply executed.

The two stone beads are the Trollbeads Cat’s Eye Quartz and the Trollbeads Strawberry Quartz. The Cat’s Eye Quartz has enormous variations from quite deep chestnuts to super pale honeys and everything in between. It’s a beautiful stone.

The Strawberry Quartz has a lot of very subtle variations with the pinks ranging from soft through to those with even ginger hints. I’ve also had just one with a beautiful sparkling dichroic patch.

Trollbeads Fall 2017 Ordering Details

If you’re looking to shop this release you can do so directly via Trollbeads USA or any of my retail partners below. Those marked with a * are selling from live images.

Trollbeads Fall 2017 Summary

It’s been a long time since I felt this enthusiastic about a Trollbeads release. I’ve already found making various bracelets to showcase the beads incredibly easy. My one complain is that we’re lacking anything overtly designed for Halloween and that does sadden me. Admittedly Halloween is note hugely popular in Denmark but it remains my favourite holiday and I know plenty of my readers feel the same.

As always I love to hear from my readers. Have you managed to see the Trollbeads Autumn 2017 collection in person yet? Have you received any beads you may have preordered? What are you loving? Hit the comments and let me know!

Brilliant article thanks Victoria, and love the detail you’ve highlighted with your gorgeous pics. Absolutely share your enthusiasm about this release… In fact don’t think I’ve seen any negative comments at all. Have only indulged in two beads so far, a Forest Mist bought from a shop and a Cat’s Eye bought from a live image. The Forest Mist is a little small but I loved the pink, peach & blue colour combination 😊
So as I’m saving up for the GLB bash that’s going have to be my limit. However the Forest Life Kit is definitely on my wishlist 😍

I think a lot of people are saving for events right now :O There’s such an exciting few weeks once we hit the end of September. I just feel a little sorry for the ladies in the US that usually visit them all in person. Imagine trying to budget for that :O They’re on three consecutive weekends!!

I’m so pleased to hear you found a lovely Forest Mist, even if it is a little small <3

      xoxo

This is a wonderful collection this year. I’m also disappointed that TB didn’t come out with anything designed for Halloween, but I think several of these beads can be used for Halloween Bracelets. I have only purchased two Fall Leaf from live images from Blooming Boutique, but I need a bracelet full of them. They are normal size and they go great with TB Trick or Treat. I also purchased one more of these since I haven’t seem them on too many merchant’s site. I now have 4 so I can keep them in pairs. I posted a picture on Instagram and tagged you Victoria. please go have a look. I just wish I could take better pictures.

I think Forest Mist and Marble would also make great Halloween bracelets. I can’t wait to see what you come with and think you should start posting Halloween bracelets now.

Thanks for the review and I look forward to all yours reviews. Please post a review on your Marble Amber.

Don’t worry I’ll be posting lots of reviews but I won’t start anything Halloween-y until we’re into October. So just the other side of the Bead Bash event 🙂

I’m so pleased to hear that you’re loving the Leaf Fall glass 😀 I’ll go and take a look at your images on Instagram a little later 😀

I’ll try and feature my Marbled Ambers at some point too 😀

      xoxo

I, too, like this release so much. Your photos are wonderful, as always. I’ve ordered and received two Forest Mist beads. They are quite beautiful, but they’re more pale pink than I expected even though I ordered them from live images. Gah, I don’t know what happened to my eyes! I think it must have been a bad migraine day. Ah well. I’m looking for ones with the sunset colors. I’m hoping to get to the Trollbeads Fest at Trollbeads Gallery, so I can see some Forest Mist and other glass I’d like in person. There are so many beads in this release that I like, I’m going to have a very long Christmas list! Thanks for your wonderful photos and descriptions, Victoria. They’re so helpful.

    • endangeredtrolls

I’m sorry to hear the colours of the beads you were received were a little off. Unfortunately even with live images it does happen 🙁 It’s not necessarily even your eyes, it can be the colour calibration of your monitor (if you’re on a PC or laptop for example.)

I hope you find the perfect beads at Trollbeads Fest instead 😀

      xoxo

      • Beth

Thanks, Victoria. You know, it probably was my monitor. I think I used a different device than usual when I ordered the beads. Ah ha! It’s not a big deal, though. I’m sure I can find some use for the ones I have. If not, I’ll trade or sell them. I’m not worried. And I’m sure I’ll find some wonderful beads at Troll Fest. 🙂

  4. Gene

I would actually love to get duplicates of Forest Mist ( which is something I never do), I would pick them from the live shots to get as much variation in coloring as possible…probably the opposite of what most collectors would want.

  5. Lisa G

I will definitely need 2 forest mist and at least 3 willow twig (brown, green, caramel), and some of the others too!

  6. Jamie

I’ll take a bracelet full of forest mist please!!! TB have been doing a lot of rainbow like glass, balance of nature beads for example. Subtle, beautiful colors yet I could never find the full variation colors that I had seen others find. I’m hoping these new beads are just as stunning in person as they are in photos. Very vibrant and a punch of color.
Like most I’m holding out for the fests to get excellent deals. I’m wondering if there will be enough autumn beads to last the weekend?!! They might sell like hot cakes 🤗😍

    • endangeredtrolls

Ohhhh they are beautiful in person! They do vary though. I’ve had some very strong in colour with the oranges and yellows and then others darker.

Do remember though the autumn beads are exempt from the buy three, get one offers.

      xoxo

      • Jamie

I’m very excited to see them in person, counting the days! I just can’t remember being this excited for a bead 😊
Though I wasn’t thinking about them not being included in the deals… hmm that may change things now..😯
