Advent Calendar Day 20 – Trollbeads Christmas Heart (Trollbeads Christmas 2013 Reviews)

During the countdown to Christmas I’ve been reviewing the best of the festive charms. This Trollbeads blog article brings a review of the new Trollbeads Christmas Heart.

The Trollbeads Christmas 2013 collection featured relatively few silver beads. Undoubtedly a highlight was the Trollbeads Shooting Stars but a second design many of my readers were coveting was the Trollbeads Christmas Heart.

This is an apt design from Trollbeads. These Christmas Hearts are a common feature on Danish Christmas Trees. On reflection I’m actually quite surprised that such a design hasn’t appeared in previous years.

Trollbeads Christmas Heart

The Trollbeads Christmas Heart is a super cute design that sits just below the actual chain. It doesn’t have a length drop so it’s unlikely to irritate in the way that some dangle style charms can.

Very often these hearts are created from red and white paper so I used this as inspiration for the showcase bracelet. Notable inclusions are the Pandora Candy Cane, the Trollbeads Love Sparkle and the limited edition Ohm Beads Cold Milk.

Trollbeads Christmas Heart Summary

For those appreciative of Scandinavian design, this bead is an absolute must have. While these hearts are associated with Christmas, the bead itself has good versatility. This will look beautiful as a focal piece on a Valentine’s Day bracelet for example.

This Christmas Heart was one of my favorite silver bead charms of Christmas 2013! My husband doesn’t like the texture, he thinks it’s too crude and rustic and should be smoother like paper. But I adore it anyway.

p.s. I think I love Ohm Cold Milk as much or more than Milky Quartz (which I love!)! Great bead!

Usually the hearts are hand made from paper – strands are woven together to create a chess board pattern so some texture is quite normal. I think it’s so cute though.

The Ohm Beads Cold Milk is super versatile I must admit. It’s easy to overlook plain beads when there’s glitter and sparkles around but they’re the beads you always find yourself reaching for again and again I find.

Soooo charming! I just want to stick a couple tiny dried strawflowers in it. ;>

It’s sooooo cute isn’t it? Imagine a tiny weeny Christmas tree with a few of these on! *Squeal*!

      Nearly Christmas rainey 😀

    Hey Victoria,
Lovely bracelet, I like that you have used both the Milky Quartz and Cold Milk as I wanted to get a better idea of the two. They are similar but different . Anytime you tire of the 2011 Red Tinsel you can send it to me I have 4 from that kit ,missing it and the green one.

I love the Christmas Heart charm, and wanted it as soon as I saw the pictures. When I finally saw it in real life I was a bit disappointed it is so tiny. I know it has a lot of detail but $44, especially when uniques are $31. Not even Christmas as yet and I am planning Spring, I will probably fancy it more for Easter or May Day, can you tell the cold is getting to me already..

On the other hand Shooting Star arrived from Goldmine a few days back(I sent you pictures did you get them?) and I love it like crazy.I can really see why one would want multiples. I’d sure like another, could you see a bracelet with about ten of them? Spoken to several dealers and they cannot believe how well Shooting Star has sold. My LD did not order it, she wont even order Uniques or Amber. When I asked if she was getting it she said “good heavens no, Trollbeads is crazy putting out a product at that price”She now knows it is selling well and says City people will buy stuff like that but no one in our Town would, well I did… Don’t you think for people who do not get it for Christmas it will be wonderful for a Valentines or Mothers Day gift ? It is such an elegant piece.

      Hey 🙂

Actually the Red Tinsel is the only bead I have from that kit! I then have a couple from the blue kit. I always end up pulling it out for Christmas though 😉

It is indeed a small bad though I do think it’s charming. In regards to spring.. you aren’t the only one planning for it. Infact one of the articles scheduled for between Christmas and New Year is early spring inspiration 😉

I did indeed get your pictures (and giggled when I saw them.) I’m going to reply to you tomorrow when I have enough time to actually say more than “I’m jealous” 😉

I think Shooting Stars is just an amazing piece. I don’t know about you, but I’d be very happy with one at *any* time of the year! Sure it’s lovely for Christmas but I know I’ll be using mine all year round 🙂 I’m so pleased you got one 🙂

      /hugs
