Trollbeads Carved Amber for Fall 2018

This Trollbeads blog brings a little inspiration for fall 2018 starring Trollbeads Carved Amber beads.

We’re now officially into the fall season and though I adore amber year round, it’s particularly popular in the fall. The array of colours that can be found seems to perfectly match the changing foliage and it’s organic aesthetic feels apt for such an earthy feeling season.

A few changes were made in the US market as to how Trollbeads carved amber could be sold. Unfortunately this appears to have led to some people believing it’s sold in store only. This absolutely isn’t true and if you reach out to your preferred retailer you might be surprised.

At Great Lakes Boutique we try and keep a selection constantly available but carved amber is extremely popular. Over the past couple of weeks we had a designs we’d not seen before, including our first hedgehog so before some of them wing their way to new homes, I took the opportunity to make a little bracelet inspiration for the blog.

Trollbeads Carved Amber

Trollbeads carved amber varies in size enormously (and thus price too.) Most pieces are fine for bracelets, some won’t fit bangles and we do have a spectacular carved amber rose right now that is so large it’s definitely a pendant.

This bracelet uses my favourite pieces from the new deliveries including that amazing hedgehog (I absolutely must get one of these for my own collection at some stage,) a bunny, pig, peacock, intertwined snakes, scorpion and a lovely alabaster mouse. I’ve chosen very autumnal silver beads as so much wildlife will be beginning to prepare for their own winter hibernation. The result is a very chunky bracelet but it’s absolutely stunning to look at. Interestingly a lot of my go to silver beads for these kind of combinations are Redbalifrog so do take a good look at their back catalogue if you need fall inspiration.

Trollbeads Carved Amber

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of amber in general and two of my go to bangles feature beautiful marbled amber pieces. Carved amber may seem to have a high price point, high quality raw amber is not cheap and it’s becoming more difficult to actually source due to a sudden surge in popularity in certain markets. For me carved amber also qualifies as an investment piece. It’s not like glass that I switch around a lot. I have just a few carved amber pieces that I absolutely cherish and wear as focals a huge amount.

For anyone interested in carved amber, I spent yesterday photographing a portion of ours individually and you can find them at Great Lakes Boutique via the link below. We do have some more pieces such as the premium amber geckos and a small group of snakes I haven’t yet reached (mostly because there are some significant releases and previews this week.) Feel free to drop me an email or message if you’re looking for something not featured.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on Trollbeads carved amber? Are you an amber fan yourself? Hit the comments and let me know!

So happy you are posting prices for the ambers. It’s easier to consider buying a bead if you know the price and don’t have to be constantly asking you.

This is really lovely. I must get a carved amber. They’re just so special.

I think of them as a happy marriage between Nature and Art. If you get one, I’m sure you will love it.

They’re very special 🙂 A little more expensive yes but as I mention in the article, raw amber is not cheap these days 🙁 It’s popularity exploded in Asia and with the demand came increased prices.
