Trollbeads at Great Lakes Boutique Bead Bash on the Lake (Plus Event Bead News)

This Trollbeads blog brings the earliest details of the Trollbeads presence at the upcoming Great Lakes Boutique Bead Bash on the Lake. It announces our event bead too!

With the holidays now behind us, I’ve been focusing quite a lot on various aspects of the upcoming Great Lakes Boutique Bead Bash on the Lake. Today we can confirm that not only will representatives from Trollbeads USA be present for the weekend but we’ll also be launching our first Trollbeads event bead.

Trollbeads at Great Lakes Boutique Bead Bash on the Lake

The team from Trollbeads USA are back with us from May the 4th through until May the 6th. Their presence will include glass bead making demonstrations and simply the opportunity to get to know some of the people behind the brand.

The weekend will also see our very first Great Lakes Boutique Trollbeads event bead and we’re so very excited. Right now I can’t share the specifics of the bead but hopefully veteran collectors and new alike will enjoy seeing the appearance of a very iconic design (and probably my all time favourite glass.) Anyone who has had to personally deal with me over the last two days will attest to the fact that I’m so ridiculously excited about this.

Great Lakes Boutique Bead Bash on the Lake Summary

Our brand representatives list now looks as follows:-

  • Grace & Rachel from Trollbeads USA (and perhaps an extra surprise)
  • Mike and Jenny from Ohm Beads USA
  • Julia and Alexey from True Beadz
  • Alex Cramariuc from ACA Kreations

There is no where else you can see this line-up of artists and brand representatives.

The confirmed event beads are as follows:-

  • The first ever ACA Kreations event bead
  • The first Trollbeads event bead for Great Lakes Boutique

Many of you will remember that a few weeks ago I mentioned there would be some huge news coming from Great Lakes Boutique at the end of February. Due to circumstances beyond our control, that news will be announced at the end of February or very early March instead. Fear not, it’s worth the wait.

This is going to be by far our largest and most ambitious event to date. Due to limited numbers on certain beads however, we again need to reiterate that you really should be in store. We won’t be able to offer absolutely everything online this time around (at least not whilst still catering to those who are travelling to meet us.)

As always I love to hear from my readers. Are you excited by the prospect of a Trollbeads event bead? Are you planning to come and meet us all? Hit the comments and let me know!

Getting really excited about this event! It keeps getting better. I can’t help but wonder about other event beads. I know that the Great Lakes beads have always been great successes. And very highly sought after. May the forth (I always giggle at Star Wars day) is not the far away!

No other event beads are confirmed yet aside from Alex’s 🙂 And now Trollbeads 🙂

      • Elizabeth

Ahhh I will focus on the word confirmed.

If Ohm does an event bead again it sounds like a Trifecta. 🙂

And an event bead from Julia and Alexey.

    Very nice news!
I’ve never been to a bead event anywhere before and am not completely sure what to expect. But it all sounds fun!

There are the event beads!!! I can’t wait to see them, and am hoping Ohm and True Beadz do each do one too. I’m assuming there is plenty of shopping including uniques/Ohmniques/True Trues Treaures and promotions like online. I am looking forward to getting the chance to shop for glass and stones in person. (And am setting aside money for the event!) I also understand that there is time for socializing and fmaybe some bead swapping.

But from those who have attended in the past I am curious about the details.
Is the shopping a total mob scene? I’m guessing they space things out with a schedule like online but then what – I can’t imagine that it’s done as a mad scramble like online. Also, is it crowded and are you on your feet the whole time?
Do the representatives speak to us as a group or it is more a meet and great? I’d love to learn more about how various beads are made – from what I’ve seen online it seems very complicated and interesting and I’d love to get a better understanding. Beyond that I’m not even sure what to ask about the event, any tips?
Thanks, as you can see I’m very excited! 🙂

It’s a little bit of a scramble when special beads come out, but I’ve always seen everyone very well behaved. No pushing (maybe just a teeny bit) and all the bead collectors are very nice. Usually we just go up and talk to the reps; just go up and introduce yourself and talk about whatever you’re interested in. I’m not a bead swapper (I’m possessive about my stuff!), but others may be. You can always just ask them. Breakfast is provided by the residence inn if you stay there, and you will see the bead group there. Mike from GLB and everyone are excellent hosts and provide lunch, and then get take out or we go out with the group (on Mike☺) as you please, to socialize. We all sit at tables together to admire our beads and it’s very social with the customers and reps. Learn all you want about making beads!
I am going alone for the first time (😦), so would love to meet you there. Can introduce you to everyone if you like. It’s very fun and social.

Thanks Lisa! Thanks for the info, it helps give me a feel for the event. I would love to meet there. I actually am excited about going solo – well as opposed to coming with husband and 7 y.o. son 🙂

        • Lisa G

Great! Look forward to seeing you!
