This charm bracelet blog brings a preview and release details for the new The Palace of Amber Tuan Tuan
Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of unveiling The Palace of Amber Tuan Tuan and Bamboo Forest Pendant sets over at Great Lakes. Today whilst photographing the beads for the website launch, I also took studio images for here and I’m showcasing those now.
For reference the sets will be available on our website at 7pm EDT. That’s 1am for those in mainland Europe, midnight for the Brits and 4pm for those on PDT.
Tuan Tuan is one of a pair of giant pandas on loan to Taiwan from China. This is considered an act of diplomacy due to the cherished nature of the panda. Tuan Tuan lives with his mate at Taipei Zoo.
This evening sees the release of The Palace of Amber Tuan Tuan, a carved agate bead with the coordinating Bamboo Forest Pendant frame. This set is incredibly striking and the intricacy of Bamboo Forest is amazing. For reference most other beads will fit inside of Bamboo Forest and equally though this set is designed for a fantasy necklace, it is compatible with bracelets and bangles.
The hand carved panda face is found on the front of each bead where the back is smooth.
Though the pieces can be used independently of each other, they are so amazing together. The Bamboo Forest frames Tuan Tuan and the end result is incredibly unusual. The cost of the kits is $100 each ($55 for the Tuan Tuan and $45 for the Bamboo Forest.)
Bamboo Forest is a decorative band of bamboo and actually the design would make for a really good coordinating ring.
The Palace of Amber Tuan Tuan Summary
These have actually been planned for months and months and proved a little more difficult than I think had initially been realised. It feels such an apt release for The Palace of Amber who are based in Taiwan.
The brand have been garnering an avid following over the past few months. The silverwork is beautiful. Their gemstones have a chunkier cut and there have been both familiar and the more unusual.
I’ve styled this set on the Trollbeads Fantasy Necklace with Malachite and the vibrant green feels perfect. It’s a really eye catching necklace combination.
Happy shopping to those of you participating this evening!
