This Story bracelets blog article offers an in depth preview of the new Story by Kranz & Ziegler spring 2013 bracelets. Part one of the three part preview into Kranz & Ziegler’s spring release.
Recently there’s been an enormous amount of hype and excitement surrounding the Pandora summer 2013 collection. This is absolutely understandable given it’s contents. For me it’s absolutely the best release from Pandora in a number of years and shows a real progression and evolution in their design. That said, it’s easy to forget that some brands are only just launching their spring releases. Story by Kranz & Ziegler always debut their new releases as the season begins. By comparison with some brands, this can feel a little tardy but it’s seasonally well timed.
Back in January I had the pleasure of hitting Copenhagen Fashion Week as a guest of Kranz & Ziegler and sister brand Lovelinks. Here the Story bracelets were used to accessorise the Stasia spring fashion show and it was incredibly exciting to see what choices the designer had made. In addition I got to see much of the Story by Kranz & Ziegler and Lovelinks spring 2013 collections. The start of March saw the official UK press launch in London for these two exquisite collections and indeed, I should have been in attendance. Unfortunately due to ongoing issues with one of my beloved animals, I was unable to take the time away from home.
Finally I’m able to offer an extensive preview of the Story by Kranz & Ziegler spring 2013 collection. It’s quite a large release boasting both new bracelets and charms. In addition Kranz & Ziegler have also debuted their new line of spring jewellery. With this in mind, I’ve opted to split the preview into three distinct articles. Part one will focus on the new Story bracelets. Part two will showcase the new Story charms and part three will take an in depth look at the Kranz & Ziegler spring 2013 jewellery collection.
Story by Kranz & Ziegler Spring 2013 Bracelets
Story bracelets are incredible regardless of whether you’re interested in the actual charms. They’re attractive and focal enough to wear without additional features and stacked together look perfectly vogue.
A number of new Story bracelets are making their debut for spring with their butter soft lambskin, their on trend snakeskin and their coveted faceted gemstone bracelets represented. The colour palette is predictably soft for the new season and this offers further opportunity for combining multiple bracelets for a more dramatic look.
We also see the launch of a new line of synthetic bracelets in neon colours. Regular readers will already be aware that neon colours featured among the key jewellery trends for SS2013. Their material makes them a more economical purchase and this allows for stacking of the bracelets at a less intimidating price.
Story by Kranz & Ziegler Hot Summer
This new line is appropriately called the Hot Summer collection. The bracelets include a small charm detail.
Of these I’m loving the pale blue or cyan bracelet and naturally, the hot pink versions. These represent a fantastic way for someone to dabble in the world of Story bracelets without investing a significant sum. In addition, their cheerful neon colours are both on trend for the new season and amazing fun for the summer heat. For those of you blessed with being able to tan, the orange is going to be a particularly complimentary shade.
Story by Kranz & Ziegler Lambskin Bracelets
The Story lambskin bracelets are arguably their iconic product. The leather used is buttery soft and far nicer to the touch than any of the other leather bracelets I have encountered. These bracelets absolutely do not stretch. My first is now three years old and still looks as good as it did at point of purchase. Their magnetic locking system makes the bracelets easy to use; quite the novelty in it’s own right in the charm and bead world.
For spring 2013, Story by Kranz & Ziegler are debuting three new shades.
I’m absolutely coveting both the beige and powder bracelets; perhaps leaning more towards the powder purely due to the novelty of the shade. It’s common to see cream leather represented but this has just the barest hint of a blush pink, making it super wearable and slightly more interesting.
Story by Kranz & Ziegler Snakeskin Bracelets
While the Story snakeskin bracelets aren’t as supple due to the material involved, they are utterly fabulous and perhaps my favourite of the Story line. Snakeskin remains on trend for the coming season and while these are more expensive than the lambskin bracelets, they still offer an economical way in which to honour this fashion trend. (Snakeskin shoes and handbags being far more expensive.)
New for spring 2013 come three new shades.
Regular readers will already know of my love for pink and indeed for the early spring season I’ve been experimenting extensively with pale pink and grey combinations. I was fortunate enough to receive the Story grey snakeskin bracelet some time ago and now I’m desperately coveting this beautiful pink version to stack with it. It has a soft and versatile shade that should compliment most skin tones.
The new dusty green shade will look beautiful in combination with the new beige lambskin for those appreciating those hues. Finally the beige is ideal for the ladies that adore their neutrals and want a bracelet that will literally compliment any outfit.
Story by Kranz & Ziegler Faceted Gemstone Bracelets
This style of bracelet has been the focus of a lot of discussion here in recent months. For spring 2013 come two beautiful new shades.
When I attended Copenhagen Fashion Week, I was particularly fascinated to see which parts of the Story collection designer Stasia was keen to use for her show. Indeed it was these new faceted bracelets that she was desperate for; to the extent that among the mountain of jewellery we took with us, there were too few of these bracelets to go around. Having seen these in the flesh (so to speak), I can honestly say they are breathtaking. An additional advantage of these bracelets is their versatility as they can be worn as necklaces. The bracelets are design to wrap three times around the wrist, worn unwrapped around the neck offers a long, slightly boho-chic looking necklace that can become a real go-to piece.
Story by Kranz & Ziegler Spring 2013 Bracelets
I’m a huge fan of Kranz & Ziegler and naturally, their Story bracelet line. Indeed I’ve been been eagerly anticipating this release for what feels like months. I’m thrilled with the end result. Neon colours so on trend for the new season have seeped their way in and also offer a more attractive price point for those interested in their first dabble with this brand.
The coveted snakeskin bracelets make their return with soft new shades for the coming season with the pink offering a real highlight for me.
Their iconic lambskin is also given a new season twist and particularly the new powder bracelet is a little different to the more commonly see cream leather bracelets.
Lastly their faceted gemstone bracelets that add beautiful texture and interest when combined with the leather debut in two stunning new shades. These were undoubtedly the most coveted bracelets at the Stasia show and it’s easy to see why.
The bracelets compliment each other spectacularly and it’s easy to see a number of combinations that would be ideal for honouring the stacked bracelet trend. The second part of this article will focus on the new Story charms and part three on the Kranz & Ziegler spring 2013 jewellery as a whole.
