Revisiting the Redbalifrog Peacock Wrapped Feather

This Redbalifrog blog revisits the lovely Redbalifrog Peacock Wrapped Feather bead ahead of the launch of the Trollbeads Spring 2018 collection.

Pre-orders for the Trollbeads Spring 2018 collection begin next week and it has a distinctive peacock theme underpinning the release. Although there are some amazing new silver pieces in the collection, it’s always a good time to browse your existing beads and assess what will work. The Redbalifrog Peacock Wrapped Feather has long been a favourite for me. Firstly I adore feather motifs in jewellery. Secondly I find barrel shaped silvers so easy to use. Today we’re revisiting this as one of my favourite Redbalifrog silvers.

This design launched back in 2015 as part of the Gypsy Easter collection which channeled a boho chic vibe. The bead has a slight openwork design making it very effective on gold bracelets or bangles or even leather. Since it’s Redbalifrog and has a universal core, it’s compatible with most other bracelets.

It’s extremely comfortable to wear thanks to it’s shape and the details are crisp. Notice the tiny heart motif at the centre of each feather.

I actually showcased my old Trollbeads Peacock Uniques just before Christmas alongside new Jumbo Unique Peacocks. Instead I opted to try and draw inspiration from the colours outside right now. Though for many of my readers it’s still cold and snowy, it won’t be too long until the very earliest shoots of spring will appear with their vibrant fresh greens. I’ve used the Trollbeads Sparkling Moss from the autumn 2017 collection with the True Beadz Shadow glass. Sparkling Moss was a bead I really enjoyed but I haven’t seen it appear a huge amount on social media. Unlike many of the earlier sparkle beads such as those found in the Trollbeads Balance of Nature Kit, it’s very consistent in it’s colouring.

Other notable inclusions are the Ohm Beads Dancing Coyotes from the Yellowstone collection. This is such a beautiful bead and one I’m finding I use lot.

Redbalifrog Peacock Wrapped Feather Summary

This has been consistently one of my favourite Redbalifrog beads and after two years since it’s release, we can rule out the novelty factor of new releases. It’s easy to see what the design is, it’s comfortable to wear and as with all Redbalifrog beads, it’s a good size that actually makes an impact on a bracelet rather than being overpowered by neighbouring beads. It’s also perfect for the upcoming Trollbeads Spring 2018 collection.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Redbalifrog Peacock Wrapped Feather? Is this bead already part of your collection? Are you planning for the Trollbeads Spring 2018 collection yet? Hit the comments and let me know!

Beautiful! I love the glass combo – I would never have thought of it. And your choices of silvers are lovely.
I admit I immediately picked up a pair of the RBF Wrapped Peacock Feathers after your prior post. 🙂
