Redbalifrog Sweet Harvest Debuts

This Redbalifrog blog celebrates the launch of the Redbalifrog Sweet Harvest collection with a complete preview.

Today sees the global launch of the Redbalifrog Sweet Harvest collection. Though Australia are at the start of their spring season while the northern hemisphere heads into fall, the collection is essentially a celebration of the bounty of nature. Given that it actually feels quite apt regardless of where you’re located.

It consists of five new pieces; one lock, one bangle and three beads and it’s available globally today.

It’s an exciting mix of pieces this time in the sense that it’s not just beads but the lock and the carrier. Strictly speaking it’s not a new bangle but a Redbalifrog Brass Twirl Bangle. This new version will retail at $44 and obviously for those who like the gold look finish, it’s far cheaper than the Trollbeads Gold Plated Bangle. Do be warned these bangles have an absolutely huge amount of flex to them. This is great in the sense that it’s a one size fits all bangle. I will state though that the more it gets flexed, the less it retains it’s original shape. This isn’t particularly noticeable when worn but keep it in mind if it’s going to bother you.

Next comes the new Redbalifrog Fruit Bowl Lock and I have a suspicion this could prove very popular for Thanksgiving bracelets. Redbalifrog locks are fully compatible with Trollbeads bracelets and have traditionally been very popular with those who prefer a sturdier clasp. They’re no longer in length really so you won’t need to change bracelet size but they are very chunky with good weight. The Fruit Bowl Lock will retail at $75.

Of the three new beads my personal favourite is the Redbalifrog Honey Pot, retailing at $44. This design has such an air of whimsy to it and as is usually the case with Redbalifrog, it’s a chunky piece.

The Redbalifrog Strawberry is a large bead and realistically represents the fruit. It retails at $44. Do note it is cored through the centre and the stalk isn’t the bale (as I had originally thought!)

The final design is the new Redbalifrog Sweet Pea Flower which I think will prove super popular as Amanda’s floral designs are always beautifully executed. I find it a little reminiscent of the Calla Lily which I’ve always been a fan of. The new Sweet Pea Flower is retailing at $37.

As most people now know we launched a new website for Great Lakes Boutique last week and you can find the new collection there. Please be patient while we populate the entire database and tweak the navigation further. There’s a search bar in the top left corner for finding specific beads.

Redbalifrog Sweet Harvest Summary

Overall this is a cute release from Redbalifrog and I think the lock will hold particular appeal as the holiday creep closer. I’d love to see it styled with the Ohm Beads Seeded Dragon Fruit on a Thanksgiving bracelet. Meanwhile the Honey Pot would lend itself particularly well to being styled with amber. Don’t forget the older Redbalifrog Queen Bee could look amazing here too.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thought on the Redbalifrog Sweet Harvest collection and are you coveting any of these new pieces? Hit the comments and let me know!

You are right, Victoria. The new lock will be perfect for Thanksgiving. It’s so reminiscent of a cornucopia. I also like the honey pot (and I adore amber). Thank you for the good news!
