Redbalifrog Bliss Mass Debuts (Redbalifrog Christmas 2018)

This Redbalifrog blog brings a complete preview of the newly debuted Redbalifrog Bliss Mass collection for Christmas 2018.

I know many of my readers consider the highlight of the holiday season in terms of bead world to be the Redbalifrog Christmas collection. It’s a shade later than usual this year but today sees the launch of the Redbalifrog Bliss Mass Collection! As usual there are no advanced previews permitted so while this is the first preview for many of you, the beads are available globally immediately.

It consists of three beads, one dangle and the second in the series of Redbalifrog Christmas decorations.

When I think of some of my favourite winter and Christmas beads, Redbalifrog features prominently. This is actually evidenced by looking at my most recent editorials where designs such as the Pine Cone and Green Man have been almost permanent features since September. Amanda is incredibly talented at delivering quite traditional festive beads but due to the fact she doesn’t make her designs overly cute, the effect isn’t too much. The result is heart warming and sometimes vintage beads that leave you reminiscing about the true meaning of the holidays and indeed the winter season.

The Redbalifrog Bliss Mass collection appeals to me because once again we’re not just seeing a focus on the holidays. Rather it’s a celebration of the season and one of my all time favourite Redbalifrog designs has received a wintery makeover. With that in mind, we’ll begin there.

The Redbalifrog Holly Man is the winter guise of the Green Man. This is an iconic character in Pagan beliefs and such a stalwart of the seasons. If you liked the Green Man, you’re sure to love this bead and it’s retailing at $44.

From there my second favourite design is absolutely the Redbalifrog Snow Flakes, retailing at $37. I think the design of these is so lovely and while dangles aren’t always so practical during the winter months when long sleeves are favoured, I just can’t hold that against such a cute design.

The new Redbalifrog Santa Logs has a certain Nordic feel to me and like many of the Redbalifrog Christmas beads, they’re a little whimsical and nostalgic. They’re retailing at $37.

The final bead design is the new Redbalifrog Snowy Owl and again this is so iconic for the winter season. I love owls in general so there’s personal bias here but I’m looking forward to experimenting with this as a focal piece. It’s retailing at $37.

The final piece for the collection is now the second Christmas decoration. The Redbalifrog Joy to the World is designed to be worn as a pendant or a decoration for your tree. Please do be aware that these are far too large for the wrist. It’s retailing at $115 and this is going to make a lovely series to collect each year, much like the Days of Christmas set before it.

Redbalifrog Bliss Mass Summary

I am so thrilled to see the Redbalifrog Holly Man debut. I absolutely love the winter and there is something very Narnia feeling about this design. I sincerely hope Amanda continues this series with a spring and summer version.

Overall I really like this release due to the fact it doesn’t focus so overtly on Christmas. That brings with it more versatility. The only negative this year being that the release date is a little later than usual. If you want these beads for Christmas, do be sure to place your orders promptly so retailers have the best chance of getting them to you.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Redbalifrog Bliss Mass collection and will you be indulging? Hit the comments and let me know!

RBF and Amanda have done it again! I know, I have said this before, so I will say it again: There are no Christmas beads above the Christmas beads from RBF, and this year’s Christmas release just confirms that feeling.
I wonder, now that we are getting the Holly King, whether we will see the Oak King in a release in Spring or just before mid-summer, in order to complete the The Legend of the Holly King and the Oak King? 😉

Unfortunately we can’t do much but wait. I’m sure Amanda has something amazing planned 🙂

These are all lovely, but Holly Man and Snowy Owl are incredible; both are jaw-dropping on first sight.

      They’re my favorites too I think 😉

I love the owl! I cant wait to see how you style it!

Wonderful collection that absolutely captures the spirit of the season! Love the snowflake dangle, the owl and the green man. The log Santas made me smile: my mom puts a collection of those at the end of her driveway every year! Dusted with snow, they are very festive and cute, just like Amanda’s bead. 🙂
