Palace of Amber Starry Fossil Dangle Live Image Preview

This charm bracelet blog brings a live image preview of the new Palace of Amber Starry Fossil Dangle as it launches online at Great Lakes Boutique.

For the fall season we debuted two new lines at Great Lakes. The first is of course our amazing glass artisan Henhousebeads, focusing on creating a beautiful core collection of seasonally coloured glass, (with the odd zombie thrown in for good measure.) The second is Palace of Amber, known for their stones, amber and more recently impressive silver designs.

It is of course Black Friday weekend, which has now developed into quite the global shopping phenomenon. We currently have the Henhousebeads buy three get one free offer to help some of you explore our newest line and the website is packed with live images (though be warned, they are whizzing off our virtual shelves right now.) For Palace of Amber we’ve decided to take a different approach and debut a couple of new designs. The first was the Enchanted Lotus which launched on Friday and is a beautiful wintery focal. At the moment it’s sold out on the website but if stock remains after the Winter Wonderland Event, we’ll put those online. The second is a design I know some have been eagerly awaiting as I’ve had several emails; the Palace of Amber Starry Fossil Dangle. They’re now live at the link below and retail at $65 each.

Some of you who follow Palace of Amber on social media definitely spotted this dangle when it was first unveiled. These are buggy amber spheres on a decorative bail with a small silver star as an extra touch. People tend to either love or loathe amber with bug inclusions and I’ve always fallen into the former category.

The dangles come complete with a small silicon ring that you can insert to transform it into a spacer if you prefer. I’ve been wearing this on my Trollbeads Bangle and they do sit firm. The only thing to consider is that they are not affixed inside like a standard spacer so it’s worth wiggling them onto your carrier with care. Nevertheless selling them this way offers a little more flexibility and it also removes the difficulty of getting them onto a bracelet.

Obviously there’s a lot of variation in the bugs. Some are small, some are (relative) monsters. Some are more spider-y while there’s one that looks like a small cockroach and a few more mosquito like. They’re absolutely fascinating for the amber collectors and a bit of a twist on the traditional Christmas or winter design.

Palace of Amber Starry Fossil Dangle Summary

While not everyone will like the buggy aspect of these dangles, they are amazing for those who do like amber with fossils. From a distance these look like a cute Christmas charm complete with the little star motif. Closer inspection reveals something altogether different and there’s a certain humour in that for me.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Palace of Amber Starry Fossil Dangle? Hit the comments and let me know!
