Ohm Beads Most Worn 2014

This Ohm Beads blog brings a list of my most worn Ohm Beads for 2014.

In a continuation of my most worn beads of 2014 series, here’s a look at Ohm Beads. Ohm Beads tend to release quite often but focus on smaller collections. During 2014 we’ve had the Ohm Beads Year of the Horse, Love Hurts, Leprechaun, T-Rex Skull, Lilac Memories, the Karma Collection, Bacon, UFO, DIY Series Part II, Talk Like a Pirate Day, Ohmtoberfest, Teddy Scares, Sugar Sleigh Ride, Death Barrels, Same Same but Eaten and Christmas 2014.

Here’s my list of most worn Ohm Beads during 2014!

Ohm Beads Most Worn 2014 – Silver Charms

With such a busy year from Ohm Beads I was absolutely clueless as to which charms had seen the most use.

Love Hurts topping this list is no huge surprise. This charm resonated with many of my readers and for me it’s one of the best releases of 2014 across the brands.

Trollbeads Winter Snow appeared on my top five most used Trollbeads silvers and now the Ohm Beads Snowflake. Once again I am living in Scandinavia and I’m not a fan of the summer weather anyway. It’s also just a beautiful design.

Merkaba debuted as part of the Ohm Beads Karma Collection and I simply love the abstract design.

The Owl was one of the first Ohm Beads I ever reviewed and I still adore him. I use owl themed beads quite extensively and Ohm’s version is so wearable.

Finally I had to giggle at the Handcuffs featuring on this list. I like risque designs and I’d love to see more of them around.

Ohm Beads Most Worn 2014 – Glass Charms

Ohm’s glass is going from strength to strength and certainly their releases towards the end of 2014 have impressed me particularly. Here are my most used glass charms:-

Mulled Cider debuted as part of the Festive Drinks collection for 2013 and it’s such a rich and beautiful colour. Much like the browns that topped the Trollbeads most worn list, this colour complements so many others perfectly.

By contrast Bar Brawl at number two and Hipster Hops at number four are new additions from the Ohmtober Fest release. I simply love these beads. They combine the lovely syrup shades of Mulled Cider with Ohm’s iconic barrel shape.

The Nuts & Berries debuted as part of the Cascades of Colour collection in fall 2013. I recently revived my set and used them with the new Death Barrels glass to great effect. Nuts & Berries is the rest bead with snowflake patterning and I’ve used it for a real variety of themes.

Ohm Beads Most Worn 2014

It’s been quite enlightening to look over these lists and it’s become apparent I use a lot of brown beads. The Magical Lamp and Smoky Quartz topped the Trollbeads most worn list and then Mulled Cider, Bar Brawl and Hipster Hops appear here. It left me asking myself “do I really feature brown beads that often?”

As always I love to hear from my readers. Do you have any particular Ohm Beads that seem to appear on every bracelet? Are there any surprises for you on this list? Hit the comments and let me know!

    Hi Victoria!
Your pictures are eye candy! OHM is unchartered territory for me…until now! Tell me, in the picture posted of ‘the cove runs red’, is that a silver dolphin? OHM? a Dangle? Please tell me more! Thanks againn!

I’m sure Victoria could confirm, but the silver dolphin looks like the Trollbeads Dolphin Pendant (12913) 🙂

Sorry for the slow reply 🙁 Cleaning, food shopping.. you know the score pre-Christmas 😉 I’ll go and take a look now.

Tracey is right (I should have realised she would be ;)) It’s the Trollbeads Dolphin Pendant. It’s technically for a fantasy necklace but you could use it on a bracelet 🙂 You can see the full article (with more dolphins) here – http://www.endangeredtrolls.com/the-cove-runs-red-taiji-dolphins/

I love that the handcuffs are in your top five! 😀

Cold Milk, Broken Heart, and Dark Soul are my most-used glass from Ohm. And probably among my most-used glass from any brand! I only started collecting Ohm in about July, so that surprised me a little.

I’m not sure whether I’d consider Love Hurts or Sugar Sleigh Ride as my most-used Ohm silver. Sugar Sleigh Ride has been used on more bracelets (three), while Love Hurts has been used on two, but Love Hurts was used on a semi-permanent bracelet so I probably ended up wearing it more overall.

It made me laugh I must admit 😉 I did tell Mike I wanted more charms like that 😀

I adore Love Hurts I must admit. I’m hoping for a follow up for 2015. Cold Milk is so so versatile!

It’s actually quite fun when you start trying to work out what you’ve worn. I had some real surprises with mine – handcuffs being one!! 😉

I am new to Ohm beads just in the last month, I ordered in the Cyber Monday promotion and also won in Beadmas! I really like the Ohm beads I got, most worn so far is probably the Baby Reindeer which for me will be year round with other animal charms but for now is on my Christmas bracelet. I was surprised to see how substantial this charm is as I know Ohm beads tend to be smaller in scale, but I like larger beads so this is good for me. I also love my pink lightning bolt, really fun design! The pave watermelon is also really cute, I just haven’t worn it yet but it is very nicely done, just as good in qulaity as a Pandora pave charm in my opinion.

Always great to hear from a new Ohm Beads fan! I find the brand such a lot of fun and they don’t take themselves too seriously. For reference a couple of days after Christmas I can unveil their entire quarter one release schedule plus pictures for the first couple of collections 😀

Ooh, it’ll be like Christmas all over again!! 😀

yay, can’t wait to see what’s next! I like the year of the ram too.

    Love hurts 🙂 🙂 I don’t need to say anything else 🙂

Thanks, Victoria, for this list. It reminds me that even though Ohm has those wonderfully quirky beads that I love, their beads are also very versatile, too. I wear Love Hurts on most of my bracelets, it is one of my favorite beads. And I just got the Mulled Cider this fall, and I agree, it is a great color, I love it. And it has a bit of cinnamon colored swirl for extra interest, too. I wear Cold Milk a lot, too, so versatile, and again there is that bit of swirl in the color. (And I love the whole Festive Drinks collection all together, too! 😀 ) Snowflake, Hipster Hops, and Bar Brawl are on my wish list.

If you wear Mulled Cider a lot, you’ll love the colours of Hipster Hops and Bar Brawl. A couple of my readers have mentioned that they don’t like to mix the different shapes so that’s always a consideration I suppose. It doesn’t bother me I must admit, I mix away quite happily but ohhh the colours. They’re so beautifully syrupy and actually they have tiny air bubbles inside. I know it’s meant to be reminiscent of beer but for me it looks really thick and viscous and it’s perfect for maple syrup 😀

Thanks for the additional info on Hipster Hops and Bar Brawl. I love the bubbles and the barrel shape. And I’m sure that the colors look even richer in person, just like for Mulled Cider.

I don’t mind mixing the barrel shapes with the round glass beads. I do have a few TB glass that are narrower and taller, or chunkier, than most of the other beads, and it sometimes bothers me when I’m looking at them in my bead box. But they seem to work just fine on a bracelet. Vive la difference! 😀
