Ohm Beads Sunflowers Bangle Inspiration

This Ohm Beads blog brings a little inspiration for the recently debuted Ohm Beads Sunflowers, featuring a couple of Trollbeads Jumbo Uniques.

Spring 2018 may have been slow to appear but for the last couple of weeks the summer season has definitely made itself known. I’m not much of a bracelet wearer anyway but as the temperatures get warmer, many collectors find themselves reaching for lighter combinations and bangles are ideal. Do remember also that until midnight on Tuesday, it’s buy three get one free on decorative Trollbeads Spacers at US retailers.

The focus of this article is actually the Ohm Beads Sunflowers. I already reviewed this bead back when it initially launched but I’ve been wearing it quite consistently for the past week or so. I was always a fan of the Ohm Beads Flowers series. I like spherical beads as they’re comfortable. Whilst Ohm are actually known for their more quirky design, beads like the Sunflower are a reminder of how far they have progressed in terms of the sheer level of detailing that they now boast on some of their more intricate creations.

Sunflowers retails at a very reasonable $45 and is quite large by Ohm’s standards.

My regular readers will know I’ve always been fanatical about symmetry in my creations. Recently I’ve been experimenting with a few asymmetrical designs. There are a total of three bangles in this stack so it’s actually a pretty large combination. Two of the bangles use the Ohm Beads Sunflower and Rose, each with a Trollbeads Jumbo Unique set off to one side. The third bangle uses the Ohm Beads Forbidden Fruit, Bead of the Month for May. I’m pretty sure it was Jenny at Ohm who originally shared an image on social media of the serpent piece wrapped around Hive Mind and I loved it! This whole combination is meant to embrace the beautiful sunshine many of us have been experiencing (and before my tolerance of it expires as I’m firstly already burnt to a crisp and secondly, suffering with terrible allergies. I’m very much a fall girl!)

Ohm Beads Sunflowers Summary

All of the Ohm Beads Flowers series are compatible with either bracelets, bangles or the ball necklace so they do deliver a higher degree of versatility. I can’t rate this collection highly enough. I wear them so often and yet I think they tend to get overshadowed by some of Ohm’s weirder designs.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Sunflowers? Hit the comments and let me know!
