Ohm Beads Stardust Inspiration

This Ohm Beads blog brings a little inspiration for the Ohm Beads Stardust, Bead of the Month from December 2017.

The Ohm Beads Stardust was the Bead of the Month design for December 2017 with a total of one thousand one hundred and eleven (1111) pieces made. Admittedly this editorial is a little late but the bead proved so popular with collectors that it mostly sold out on pre-orders alone. There’s little wonder as star designs have an eternal appeal and most especially at Christmas. This is far removed from a standard star but then that’s typical of most things Ohm.

Stardust is a large piece though it’s design does prevent it from being overly heavy. Despite the pointed edges, these never really come into contact with the skin so I’ve not found it uncomfortable to wear, albeit if you prefer smaller designs this probably isn’t for you.

The front is the definitive star design though it’s executed to be almost a little reminiscent of a cobweb too (and I’ll most definitely be wearing mine around Halloween.) The rear is more ornate with a swirling pattern.

This is the bangle I actually made for myself for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. It’s ludicrously simple but most of my own combinations actually are. It includes my single Ohm Beads Night Sky which is such a beautiful glass bead and one I’m hoping to get a second of. Retailers are waiting on second deliveries of this glass as again, due to it’s popularity stocks exhausted on pre-orders. I’ll revisit it once it’s available for purchase again.

The other silver design is the Ohm Beads Time Flies. This is far larger than I’d predicted and of course it has fully articulated wings. Finally it’s mounted on the Trollbeads Star Bangle. I love the texturing on that piece.

Ohm Beads Stardust Summary

Stardust was such a pleasant surprise as I’ve tended not to adore the December Bead of the Month designs yet I loved this. We’re now just a week from the global launch of the Ohm Beads Year of the Dog as the Bead of the Month for January. (For reference Exclusive Bead Store (UK) and Star Bijou (Germany) still have stocks.

For February of course the Bead of the Month is the Ohm Beads Teabag which I’m really looking forward to seeing. (It can still be found for pre-order at Great Lakes Boutique (USA,) Exclusive Bead Store (UK,) Pianeta Beads (Italy) and Star Bijou (Germany.)

March is confirmed as the Ohm Beads Bunny Angel but the preview for that isn’t until January the 16th.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Stardust and did you indulge in this bead? Hit the comments and let me know!
