Ohm Beads Seeded Papaya Inspiration

This Ohm Beads blog brings a little bangle inspiration starring the Ohm Beads Seeded Papaya.

We’re almost in September and the start of my favourite season of the year. It also happens to be the busiest time of year in bead world. Indeed I looked at my calendar last night, spanning the next six weeks and it’s terrifying (in a good way.)

Today I’m sharing a little bangle inspiration and this is actually a combination I was wearing last week. As my readers know, I’m not a full bracelet girl so usually my bangles are pretty simple combinations.

This particular design uses the Ohm Beads Seeded Papaya and I’m still having such fun with the CustOhms. We’re also only a couple of weeks away from seeing the batch two designs (the faceted dichroics,) starting to appear.

Ohm Beads Seeded Papaya Inspiration

Seeded Papaya is the orange and white design and the one so obviously ideal for Halloween. The gold glitter details on all of these seeded beads feel really apt for fall, though the base colours change the vibe considerably.

All of the CustOhms do vary so it is worth choosing from live images. We still have a good selection over at Great Lakes Boutique though we’re now sold out of a few designs and have very low stock of Optimistic, (the blue and red.) The amount of glitter detail varies, as does the exact size of the beads. One reader also pointed out that the edges of some are more rounded where as others are more angular.

This bangle uses four of the Seeded Papaya, two Trollbeads Spring Leaves Gold and the Trollbeads Mexican Sugar Skull Gold, (there’ll be more information on those latter two versions later in the week.) It’s such a warm combination for the autumn season. I’ve used the Trollbeads Star Bangle for the carrier as frankly, gold looks spectacular against it. The contrast is amazing.

Ohm Beads Seeded Papaya Summary

If you’re looking for a very quick option for making bracelets or bangles look autumnal, these are ideal. The colours are bold, the glitter is seasonal and there’s more complexity to these designs than images often suggest. The orange glass is quite transparent which adds more depth to the beads than is often being capture in images. It’s a lovely design for Halloween in particular but do remember, there is a chance these beads won’t still be available by the time the holidays arrive.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Seeded Papaya? Is this one of the designs you indulged in? Hit the comments and let me know!

New gold Trollbeads, intriguing?? That’s a gorgeous combination 😍

Custom made as opposed to new 🙂

I do like these, actually. The entire set has a real organic feel, and then, they just look tasty to me. 😀

Speaking of Trollbeads, which mentions are scarce lately, 🙂 whatever happened to the fall 2018 preview scheduled for mid-August? Did I miss it? That wouldn’t surprise me. :-/

Mentions are hardly scarce 😛 Especially if you follow me on social media.

I can’t disclose the fall release or preview date until Trollbeads do so themselves 🙂

        I’m so impatient tho.

But hey, do you, or does anybody else, know of a stopper//spacer that fits Troll bangles and uses white silicone? Or, have you ever swapped the black silicone in Troll stoppers for white? I’m so very tired of the black rings on my untreated copper bangles, a few of which will not come off, and I’ve used everything, including Brasso, and the rings remain, faded, but there, so the bangle is kind of ugly to wear shiny and bare. I ordered two bangles at the last event, one copper, and forgot to ask that I be sent a bangle and stoppers separately. They were sent as the set, of course, and the black marks of the stoppers will not come off. It’s so annoying. I change out the silicone in Thomas Sabo stoppers to white and use those on copper bangles, but using Troll stoppers would be great if I could change out the silicone easily. I’ll probably just experiment with one anyway once I get the proper size white silicone rings.

I’m impatient too, trust me :p I’m so busy for the next six weeks but even though I have a ton to do, I still feel like I’m tapping my fingers a bit waiting for the new Trollbeads. People’s Bead is next week though and that’s amazing 😉 😀

As far as I’m aware the Trollbeads silicone are very well secured and they all use black. Ohm have clear inside theirs but they aren’t as secure as Trollbeads’ 🙁

I’m very much looking forward to live images of the People’s bead. I think my daughter will love it.

Thank you. I’ll try Ohm. I haven’t tried to push the Troll silicone out yet. The Sabo stopper silicone is pretty tight too, I was surprised the first time I swapped it out. I really have to work at it every time, but it does pop out, and it’s so worth the trouble; the silicone rings for Sabo stoppers are smaller than for Troll, so the stoppers are really secure, but still slip on Troll bangles easily.
