Ohm Beads Seeded Blue Inspiration

This Ohm Beads blog brings a little inspiration for the Ohm Beads Seeded Blue CustOhm.

The first batch of Ohm Beads CustOhms arrived at Great Lakes last week and I’ve been having a lot of fun playing with these. Following the preview I was a little hesitant as I didn’t think these were really my kind of colours. I completely changed my mind once I started to play with them.

Yesterday I shared a little inspiration for the new Seeded Fig with Spring Refractions.

Today it’s the turn of Seeded Blue and I think I have a new favourite bracelet combination.

We’re now into August and I’m counting down the days until September. Despite hating the summer season, I generally like August from a professional perspective. We’re waiting for the preview of the Trollbeads Fall 2018 collection and of course Ohm’s first quarter three releases too. Fall is finally on the horizon. Of course there is also Bead Bash on the Lake to look forward to in September as well.

All of the new Ohm Seeded designs have brown sparkling details. These are really effective against the blue and indeed it’s what gave the inspiration for this bracelet. I managed to find a couple more glass that are a similar shade to Seeded Blue. One is a unique Armadillo and the second is the Trollbeads Honest Love. I’ve combined it with the old Ohm Beads wood collection. I always loved these beads. You’ll also spot a couple of the Trollbeads Marble Dots too, they use a very similar sparkle to the Seeded Blue.

These colours make me think of those perfect crisp autumn days with clear blue skies and falling leaves. The silver beads are a mix of Trollbeads, Redbalifrog and Ohm Beads and were chosen for an early fall theme. That said I did sneak the Ohm Beads Trick or Treat. on there as it arrived so late last year that I never managed to review it before Halloween. The clasp is the new Redbalifrog Moon Face Lock in brass and the Trollbeads Wishing Star adds a little more gold to the combination. I have included a Bead Index for this combination as there’s quite a mix of designs.

Ohm Beads Seeded Blue Summary

Today is your final opportunity to participate in the Ohm Beads Bad Dreams Promotion at Great Lakes Boutique. Spends of $250 or more on Ohm Beads before midnight tonight will qualify for a free Bad Dreams. Please note the orders must include a Spring Refractions glass but actually, it styles really well with both Seeded Fig and Seeded Salad.

Seeded Blue was one of my favourites from the first preview and it hasn’t disappointed at all. Actually I think this bracelet would be vastly improved by replacing the two blue Trollbeads with another pair of Seeded Blue. It would definitely look more cohesive in terms of the bead shapes too.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Seeded Blue? Hit the comments and let me know!

Beautiful bracelet! Makes me wish I had bought the entire Ohm wood collection. Fingers crossed for bead bash!

The wood beads were lovely though they could be replaced here with the True Beadz Wood. It’s just the shape and size would be a little off.

The only thing I’ll say about Bead Bash is that while we will have a LOT of CustOhms, apparently the trays they come in aren’t equal. So for this batch we had no Lakes or Fern Ridge for example 🙁
