This Ohm Beads blog brings a little inspiration for the Ohm Beads Rebirth, Bead of the Month for November 2018.

Rebirth of course depicts a phoenix, a mythical creature. Deriving from Greek mythology the phoenix is reborn or regenerates in cycles. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, their tears also heal wounds. Ultimately the phoenix is a symbol of rebirth.

Ohm Beads Rebirth

The Ohm Beads Rebirth depicts the bird in flight and he’s cored through the wings so he sits underneath the carrier. I was late opening mine but I’d read so much on social media that suggested Rebirth just didn’t work on a bangle. This made me so sad as I’m predominantly a bangle wearer. Actually I’ve found he looks amazing on a bangle! I’ve been wearing mine on the Trollbeads bangle because these ensure that a bead will stay on the top of your wrist. The result is the phoenix gliding up or down your arm. Do be aware that there are edges to this design that can snag clothing. They aren’t sharp but anything that isn’t spherical is going to run the risk of this.

I wanted to style Rebirth as the phoenix rising from the ashes. I’ve used the Ohm Beads Eerie Nights (find those here) for an ashy look, in combination with the Ohm Beads Red Life CustOhms (available here) for the fire aspect.

Ohm Beads Rebirth Ordering Details

For those of you yet to order, Rebirth is still available! You can find it at any of my retail partners detailed below:-

Ohm Beads Rebirth Summary

I’m a Harry Potter fan so it’s so difficult for me to disassociate Rebirth with Fawkes and that already suggested I was going to enjoy the design. In the image below you can see it actually on my wrist and I do like that the most ornate part of the bead (the top,) is what you see when wearing it on the Trollbeads Bangle.

I’ve also seen some lovely styling of Rebirth on a necklace.

Rebirth did have a higher price point however and I completely understand that this has deterred some people. Overall this has been my favourite phoenix depiction from the beads I collect.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Rebirth? Did you indulge? Hit the comments and let me know!

I agree it doesn’t really need additional beads but for the sake of a blog article, people would be bored fast if I just showed it as a single bead on a bangle 😉

    Hi Victoria,

My rebirth/Fawkes charm arrived today! I recently watched Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of …… And noted the Dumbledore Pheonix was explained. I love this design, most expensive OHM charm I’ve invested in to date. While I can’t afford to do this very often, so very glad I bit the bullet and bought this charm. It looks amazing in a bangle and on my necklace. I love your designs, I agree as great as it looks by itself, would have made for a quick review.
Plan to do one HP design before Christmas.

    Cheers!
    Lisa K
