Ohm Beads No Evil: Sheep Review

This Ohm Beads blog brings a dedicated review of the newly debuted Ohm Beads No Evil: Sheep and the brand’s latest blind distribution charm.

Last week saw the release of the Ohm Beads March 2018 collections. This included the much anticipated Bunny Angel as the Bead of the Month and Big Luna as the custom order. Finally Trainwreck and No Evil: Sheep launched as standard charms, though the latter sees a form of blind distribution again.

The Ohm Beads No Evil: Sheep retails at $50, €47 or Β£42. It’s available in both standard silver or dirty finishes but comes packaged blind. You won’t know which version you’ll get until you unwrap. According to Ohm it’s roughly a fifty fifty split in terms of the percentage of each finish so fortunately this time, coveting a specific version isn’t so bad. It’s also not limited edition.

Ohm Beads No Evil: Sheep

The No Evil: Sheep looks like a fluffy ball of wool. Fans of Shaun the Sheep will like this charm. Due to the fact his legs are depicted as covering both his mouth and ears, he’s sort of legless on he bottom half of his body. Those of you who read my preview may remember me describing him as reminiscent of the popular “cat loaf” hashtags you’ll see on Instagram.

The image below shows both the dirty and silver version together. Obviously they’re identical aside from the oxidisation.

I was tempted for a spring themed bracelet for this little guy, brimming with greens and flowers and all the pre-Easter cliches. I have to confess this is a combination I had reserved to showcase the Bunny Angel, alongside his counterpart Bunny Reaper. With so many of my beads still stored away after a relocation, Bunny Reaper is in “a box” so I borrowed the idea for the sheep. It uses the now retired Ohm Beads Connections glass and the very long retired Ice Hole. Ice Hole looks much like a small snow globe and I sorely wish I’d gotten more.

Ohm Beads No Evil: Sheep Summary

I’ll be revisiting the No Evil: Sheep in the not too distant future as he joins the rest of the Ohm Beads flock on a spring themed bracelet. For now he’s very cute! There’s a lot of character in that little face and for those who missed out on the much coveted Ohm Beads Black Sheep, this is at least along the same theme.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads No Evil: Sheep. Did you indulge in this little guy? Hit the comments and let me know!

Aww, I love this little guy. I don’t usually do cute, but I’ve made an exception for Ohm’s sheep line. There’s just something about all of them that completely tickles me. This one is very much reminiscent of Shaun the Sheep for whom I’ve had great affection for a long time. He’ll happily be joining the rest of my flock. I’m actually hoping for the non-oxidized version, but it’ll be fine if it’s the other one. Black Sheep could use a friend. I have a package coming today from GLB; I’m hoping it contains See No Evil!

A limit cute too, as it will just end up sitting in the bead box, never getting worn. But do like Ohm’s sheep and will actually wear them πŸ™‚
I got 3 of them from GLB (I like odd numbers ) and they are adorable. I got 2 silver and 1 dirty which is fine – I just didn’t want all the same. Though now I want more of the other sheep…I have one black and two silver of those too, which just seems too balanced for a flock of sheep even with a ram.
I keep thinking of picking up a single ball of yarn bead from Trollbeads and slip it on to a bracelet with my flock for a bit of quirky humor.
