Ohm Beads Most Worn 2015

This Ohm Beads blog details my most worn Ohm Beads for 2015.

For Christmas last year I decided to trawl through all of my published articles in 2014 and calculate which bead designs I’d been using most. Despite it being an arduous task, I wanted to see if certain designs were classics (to me) or if I only ever featured beads that were newly released. The results were really quite fascinating and surprising as I’d had no idea just how much I’d used them.

For 2015 I decided to repeat it and last week I started with my most worn Trollbeads. Today is the turn of Ohm beads. I had a suspicion that once again the Ohmtoberfest glass would appear. I adore Bar Brawl and Hipster Hops and I find the colours super wearable. I had absolutely no inclination of what silver charms might feature however!

I was completely surprised to see the little Ram (silver version for reference) appear at the top of the list! Bar Brawl and Hipster Hops were no surprise and nor was Striped Suit really. The Ohm Beads Brainiac made me laugh and probably shows my ongoing preoccupation with zombie themed bracelets. I’m still collection Brainiacs when possible.

I found it fabulous to see that only Latte and Cave In are actually from 2015, showing I do actually have some beads in my Ohm collection that are classic designs for me.

Ohm Beads Most Worn 2015 – Silver Beads

My Latte shows my preoccupation with coffee. It’s fun to see the T-Rex Skull feature so highly, though I do remember playing with dinosaur themed bracelets for both Talk Like a Dinosaur Day and the cinematic launch of Jurassic World. Love Hurts is an absolute classic Ohm Beads design in my eyes.

Ohm Beads Most Worn 2015 Summary

Obviously for most collectors it’s near impossible to really know which beads and charms they are wearing the most. Most of us have a hunch but the actual results can be very surprising.

As always I love to hear from my readers. Do you have any Ohm Beads you’re sure you wear all the time? What do you think your most worn are? Hit the comments and let me know!

Many of my top favorites here! Love them.
    Ohm Beads Ram
    Ohm T-Rex
    Ohm Beads Bar Brawl
    Ohm Beads Hipster Hops
    Ohm Beads Brainiac
and I wear Latte and Merkaba A LOT too, for many bracelets. My Ohm Beads Turtle “Honu” is my constant companion all Summer long. I wear him so much my husband (born in Kauai) says I should get him tattoed on my wrist. πŸ™‚
The Ohm beads Bucket List is another that I cherish and wear, especially now our dog Ivy’s gone. Those last three years were such fun with her.

I honestly had *no* idea that I’d used the Ram as much as I had! It just goes to show πŸ™‚ Hipster Hops and Bar Brawl are so versatile I think and clearly not just for me πŸ™‚ Merkaba featured high for me last year but apparently not this year.

I think I wear OHM silvers the most out of all other brands. For me its huskies, they are always on my bracelet for the dogs. Love hurts and the dinosaur skulls with Cave in. And I love the the wood beads, I wear them alot aswell.

    • endangeredtrolls

I’ve been naughty with the Bead of the Month designs and doubled up on nearly all of them. I’ve not regretted it one bit! I also love the wood beads. I find them just *so* easy to style.

I definitely agree with your choices! I personally wear my glass Latte, silver My Latte and the T-Rex just about every day (with the Gnome and Inner Peace on the side). I also use Cave In, wooden beads and beer-like-glass beads to β€œadd color” between my silvers (there is also an orange Ganges bead that I love!). Love Hurts too has been worn by many this year, in many cases it is the only OHM bead they own. And that two-tone ram was a huge hit this year! Oh my, we have received soooo many requests for it even after we ran out of them completely. It was hard to say β€œwe don’t have any more of these” over and over and over again… If I had to pick a fav bead among them all – I would say Love Hurts wins it for me. I am just too attached to it and what it represents to me. Thanks for the article Victoria! I am never sure if I should/can comment or not, I hope it’s OK πŸ˜‰

Of course you can comment sweetie! One of the things I hear time and time again from readers regarding Ohm Beads is that they love the contact they can have with yourself, Mike and Kit! No one else offers that and it makes for a much more cosy feeling in the community πŸ™‚

      • Kim7

Yes, Victoria…I really agree with your opinion about Ohm’s great connection with their collectors; it adds so much to the enjoyment of this hobby. Ohm’s faces…Mike, Jenny and Kit – you all represent your company so well, and it feels like we’re just sharing a mutual interest/passion all together. I can’t think of any other company that comes close to that same warm, benevolent vibe.

        • Jenny @ OHM

Thank you Victoria and Kim for the wonderful words about us at OHM πŸ˜‰ I looove communicating with our collectors very much but I must admit sometimes I feel like a stalker lol! I should get over that phobia in the new year – fingers crossed – and take communication to some new level (whatever that is). Yay!

          • endangeredtrolls

I understand why you feel that way. It took me ages before I really started joining bead groups on Facebook. I love talking to my readers in comments but I always felt that if I joined groups, it might feel too much for them. Especially since they know I run a commercial blog? I guess it’s a bit the same for you since you work *for* a brand. Honestly though I think most of us worry about things that other people don’t consider an issue. I always get feedback that people love the openness of Ohm Beads so I think you should embrace that <3

I just wanted to say I love chatting with you on Facebook, Jenny, I don’t think you come off as a stalker at all! πŸ˜€ Merry Christmas!

  4. Martha

For sure my most used ones are my Cold Milks. Mr. Gnome has also been out and about a lot, ha ha! I also use the purple and orange ones from the Six Pack collection quite a bit. I guess I get a lot of use out of solid colour beads, if I start to think about it.

    • Faye

Martha’s right and I forgot to mention it, but Ohm Cold Milk is spectacular! Who would have thought it but it highlights every bracelet I use it on.

  5. Kim7

Forgot to mention: I have multiples of all the Cascades of Color barrel glass designs, and keep them on various bracelets at all times. I *love* this collection! I also keep Ohmtoberfest glass on several bracelets, as well as Frankie the Monster, Werewolf, the TV bead, Cute Owl, Acorn, and Robot for silvers. Like others mentioned, Love Hurts is a standout silver that I also use on so many designs; beautiful bead.

  6. Trudy

I have made a full Ohm bracelet this year and wear it almost every day. My most favourite is OhmMyGod. I wear him on an Ohm bangle every single day. He means so much to me.

    • endangeredtrolls

OhmMyGod is so beautiful. I love the fact that Ohm Beads seem to manage to mix quirky and crazy with beautiful and touching. We have everything from zombies through to designs like Love Hurts that make me cry. Such a fantastic and unpredictable brand.

  7. Tracy

I would guess that my most used Ohm silvers are Mr. Gnome, Love Hurts, Crown of Thorns, and Star Universe. Glass I think would be Cold Milk, Dark Soul, Broken Heart, and Mossman.

I realized as I did this that it’s hard to really predict my most worn beads since some beads are used in quick combinations that I put together, wear, and then take apart again (like Mr. Gnome and Mossman) and some are used in combinations that almost never get taken apart but are worn often (like Crown of Thorns in my dragon bracelet and Love Hurts in my zombie bracelet). So, just looking at the pictures that I have of my combinations doesn’t give me a real sense of how many times I really wear that bead. πŸ™‚

    • endangeredtrolls

It’s really hard for most people to have any honest idea of what beads they use most. I’m lucky that I tend to be wearing whatever I’m photographing so actually my blog represents a pretty accurate idea.

I never managed to get on with Crown of Thorns πŸ™ I had such high hopes for it but I found it too snaggy in the end :*(
