Ohm Beads Moon Me Review

This Ohm Beads blog brings a dedicated review of the limited edition and store exclusive Ohm Beads Moon Me.

The Ohm Beads Moon Me was created for the Great Lakes Boutique spring 2016 event. It was limited to just three hundred and thirty three (333) pieces and is of course exclusive to Great Lakes. It retails at $45 and is fully compatible with Pandora charm bracelets. As stocks of this bead are now running low and Ohm’s popularity continues to soar, especially amongst collectors seeking out rare designs, I decided it was time to showcase this bead.

Ohm Beads Moon Me

I always loved the fact that Moon Me looks innocent and innocuous from one angel and obviously cheeky (pun intended) from the other.

Those of you who follow me on social media (Facebook and Instagram) will have soon Moon Me styled in a few different ways over the week but predominantly on bangles (which are what I wear daily anyway.) For this article I wanted to create a full bracelet instead. I’ve opted for a space themed bracelet which is something I’ve not tackled in ages. It also gave me the opportunity to use the limited edition Ohm Beads Waterfall which is now close to being sold out (and you can still find it here.) I’ve included the amazing Argh because I felt like including a space squid. As always there’s a bead index at the end of the article.

Once again I’ve used mostly gemstones on this bracelet as it feels apt for any moon theme. Great Lakes still have their live image Spring Bead Break parties live offering lots of live images of stones (find those here.) One final addition I wanted to mention is the Ohm Beads Impression-Ness Lock. I’m loving playing with locks at the moment and this one was chosen to represent footprints on the moon.

Ohm Beads Moon Me Ordering Details

Do remember that stocks are now running low so you can find Moon Me exclusively via the link below. Incidentally Erie Rocks stocks are also close to being exhausted so I’m including the links to those also.

Ohm Beads Moon Me Summary

Moon Me is such a light hearted design and typical of Ohm’s sense of humour. I’ve been watching Ohm explode in popularity recently and retired charms are becoming increasingly difficult to find. With only three hundred and thirty three of these created, it’s better to purchase it now rather than start hunting later on. It’s also worth remembering that there are two further gnome themed beads launching at the start of June. Remember to check out the latest Ohmbassador report if you missed the earliest details on those.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Moon Me? Hit the comments and let me know!

I love the humour of Moon Me but it’s really not the bead for me. I’d never wear it! But I love how Ohm Beads makes designs no other brand would.

Yeah they’ve never really been too concerned with conforming and I *love* them for that. I think Moon Me split a lot of people. It’s another Marmite bead but some days it just feels perfect 😉

Moon me and Beel shared some space yesterday with a dirty word. It was Monday after all! I like moon me with Mrs Ohm Gnome. They are fun beads. I have really been loving Ohm for a while now! Very quirky!!!

    • endangeredtrolls

Beel has been with me for the past week too! 😀 And well the Dirty Words… 😉

Ohm. I don’t even know what to say anymore. I love this brand so much. Aside from the fact they’re just really lovely people to work with, they never cease to make me smile 😀

I agree with Alexandra on this one, this bead is not for me but I do like the quirkiness of Ohm. I love that you managed to build a full bracelet around “Moon Me”! ( Although I think you may have used a different interpretation of the word ‘moon’!). Also I am loving what you did on Instagram with your bangles where you use the lock in the middle of Erie Rocks and the Ohm safety chain around them. Then there’s one with a lock in the middle of a bangle with a True Beadz dangle hanging from it. I wish I could be as inventive as you are… the look is just so cool. I probably already know the answer, but can Ohm safety chains work on Trollbead bracelets in the way that you use them?

    • endangeredtrolls

Make sure you follow the Great Lakes Boutique Instagram as well since I’m running that too and I try to make sure the bracelet pictures are different between the two accounts each day 😉

Safety chains and locks.. I have a bit of a craze on both right now. Using the safety chains that way just makes things a bit edgier. Locks are just great for punctuating larger pieces I think 🙂 Both the safety chains and locks work on Trollbeads bracelets and bangles as well as Ohm’s own 😀

      xoxo

Add that to my list! I love Ohm safety chains and locks; but since I don’t have that many Ohm beads yet, I’ve just been putting them on my Trollbeads bracelet.

  5. Gene

I just noticed something else on your Instagram site. Is that a new True Beadz silver piece that you are wearing on the silver bangle with the plain stoppers? Because I need it…whatever it is!!!

    • endangeredtrolls

It is indeed 😉 I was wearing it throughout the Spring Bead Break and there’ll be more information on my blog tomorrow evening 🙂

      xoxo

        I will be waiting anxiously!

  6. Laura

Thank you for the review! I love the look of the charm and ordered it a couple of days ago! Many different ways to wear it, especially with my dirty word charm :)! I love the edginess and quirkiness of this brand. The older I get, the less I want to conform :)!

  7. Nereida

I do have Moon Me, though I’ve rarely worn it. More to do with the bracelet it’s on. Thing is, it’s small enough to very subtle, so no need to think about subject matter if you like it.
