Ohm Beads Melting Heart Preview

This Ohm Beads blog brings a complete preview of the new Ohm Beads Melting Heart design, scheduled for release in late January.

Today we’re seeing the previews for the Ohm Beads February 2018 releases. A very short time ago I unveiled the Ohm Beads Teabag as the Bead of the Month for February. I suspect this will be a surprise to many who were assuming it would be themed for Valentines.

Fear not Valentine’s Day fans as although the Bead of the Month is for the caffeine lovers, Ohm are releasing two versions of one design for the holiday. Pre-orders for the Ohm Beads Melting Heart will begin immediately with one limited edition version and one regular collection option. The release date is January the 30th.

As mentioned there are two versions of this bead. The first is all silver and will retail at $80. The second is the limited edition version with chocolate enamel tips. This will retail at $90. It’s designed to be worn either on a bracelet or the Ohm Beads Ball Necklace.

Ohm Beads Melting Heart Ordering Details

Pre-orders are beginning immediately but again it’s upto the individual retailer as to whether or not they list their stock in advance. Do be aware that the enamel tipped version is limited so if you know you want that for release, it’s probably better to pre-order. I’ll be updating this list during the day but I’m not including retailers I know absolutely don’t accept pre-orders this early.

Ohm Beads Melting Heart Summary

I’m not a huge fan of heart designs but I do like the enamel tipped version of this heart. I also like that it’s compatible with the Ohm Beads Ball Necklace as I think that would be more likely to tempt me into wearing it.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Melting Heart? Do you have a preference for the plain or enamel tipped version? Will you be pre-ordering? Hit the comments and let me know!

Plain for me! I’m not a fan of chocolate or enameling. I do love hearts so I will be getting this one, though I will not be pre-ordering I can wait.

    • endangeredtrolls

Well the plain version isn’t a limited edition anyway so you should be fine! 😀

  2. Sherri*

I LOVE the melting heart! It’s reminiscent of Salvador Dali’s melting clocks.

    • Beth

That didn’t occur to me at all. Now that’s very cool!

    • endangeredtrolls

Then you need Liquid Time too 🙂

  3. Beth

Though I like the idea behind the design, this one’s not for me. That’s a very good thing, actually, as there are several other things in the February release that I’d like. 🙂 I can’t wait to see how people style this one. I’m sure that will be a lot of fun.

    • endangeredtrolls

I’m not usually a hearts kinda girl. But I do like those chocolate tips and I do like the idea of it on a necklace so I shall reserve judgement until it arrives! I really didn’t like The Feast based on stock images and I *love* that!

  4. Pippa

From the small pic on your home page, my first was “this one’s kind of weird.” My second thought was, “Please say that’s supposed to be chocolate and not dark congealing blood.” I was much relieved when I opened the post and saw a nice shiney silver bead. 🙂

I’m not sure if I’m going to like this one or not so will definitely hold off and the chocolate one isn’t my cup of tea so fortunately no rush. This is definitely one I wish I could try out in person. Lucky for me there are plenty of other beads to like!

    • endangeredtrolls

You have no idea how much your congealed blood comment cheered me up on what has been a totally chaotic Monday 😀

      • Lisa G

I thought it was blood too:)

  5. Paula, Gravesend

I love Ohm hearts so this is a must for me though I am not fussed about having the enamelled one. Looks a decent size as well.

    • endangeredtrolls

I think it’s going to be a good size too. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

  6. Gene

I thought about this one for quite awhile today, and I just don’t care for it. What I *do* like is the bead called Liquid Time that you mention in the comments. That’s one I haven’t heard of.

    • endangeredtrolls

It’s retired now so if you want it, I’d suggest being super fast as it left production at the start of November

  7. Faye M

Is it just me that has a different association with the colour brown other than chocolate? Just seems like such an odd choice.
I really love this bead and I would have bought it if the enamel was any other colour. Black would have been nice.
I will be sticking to the plain silver one.
Must say I’m really loving this take on what can be very boring and overdone hearts.

    • endangeredtrolls

Not here. I think it’s a lot about context and for a bead themed for Valentine’s Day, all I think of is chocolate 😀
