Ohm Beads June 2017 Bead Name Details

This Ohm Beads blog confirms the bead names and statuses for the upcoming Ohm Beads June 2017 collections.

May the 24th (so exactly one week from now) is the next huge preview day for Ohm Beads. At the time of the news round-up for May, only a couple of the bead names had been confirmed but over the past days Mike has trickled out a few more details.

Confirmed beads being unveiled next week are as follows:-

  • Ohm Beads Gnome Home
  • Ohm Beads Aunt Gnome
  • Ohm Beads Rainbowed (limited edition glass)
  • Ohm Beads UFO (bracelet or ball necklace)

In regards to the Ohm Beads Heart of Stone, Bead of the Month for June 2017 and the focus of much discussion recently, this bead will see entirely blind distribution so the only teaser next week will be of the box (which is solid concrete to ensure the contents remain secret until release.) What is known about this design is that there are multiple finishes (though less than the Ohm Beads Birdie collection) and no stones or cubic zirconias will feature. It's retailing at $140 and one thousand one hundred and eleven (1111) beads have been made. For reference there were six finishes in the Ohm Birdie release!

Recent limited edition glass have been vanishing at a quite alarming rate. The Ohm Beads Strawberry is a perfect example of this as quite a few of my retail partners exhausted their stock already though you can still shop directly with Ohm Beads USA. With that in mind Rainbowed is likely the design to focus on purchasing if the blind distribution of Heart of Stone doesn't appeal to you.

As always I love to hear from my readers. Based on this information what are you most looking forward to from the June release? Hit the comments and let me know!

So are there four different beads which could be found? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

That isn’t what has been said ๐Ÿ˜‰ There are multiple finishes but less than the Ohm Birdie collection (and there were six finishes for Ohm Birdie)

        Oh!!

No stones featured in Heart of Stone? Hmmm, I am very curious to see what justifies the high price…

UFO sounds like it could be fun…

I am thinking that the stone in heart of stone was referring to the mans heart , feelings and all around emotions after he sold himself to “black magic” for more money. I could be wrong and maybe the stone in the title just refers to the stone and concrete being so hard or kind of ubreakable? Either way I am intrigued and it interesting. I personally wouldn’t spend any amount on a blind item and am pretty sure I wouldn’t spend 140 on a single bead ( unless I love it as much as Luna then I might give it a go)
I am super excited to see UFO and wondering if it will be similar to the retired cuter UFO. Can’t wait for all these amazing releases on the first ( ohh those little feelings beads…) thanks for such a wonderful update as usual Victoria.

Yes I don’t think the name is literal either. The prose that accompanied the details of the bead was very moving and I think it refers to that too ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t worry, you don’t have *too* long to wait for the preview of the UFO now ๐Ÿ˜€

      Nope! No stones! ๐Ÿ™‚

Birdie didn’t come in a yellow gold vermiel…. just a solid gold…. Did OHM actually make some heart of stone beads in solid gold?

If so I’m wondering if the price is too spread out the cost of the materials used? If they tallied up the cost of materialsโ€‹ total and divided by 1111 to get an average for each bead then added a profit margin on, I could see that coming to a number like $140.

That’s only a theory though. Kind of a cruddy one I might add. Akin to a very high stakes lottery where you’re more likely to have paid much more for a silver bead than the few solid gold “winners” among the purchasers.

I honestly have no idea what they’ve done. I do know how many finishes there are but I can’t divulge that yet. Beyond that though.. no idea what’s in those boxes.

I don’t think there will be a solid gold version and as I said, the article only says that there are *less* finishes than for Birdie. It doesn’t say they are the same finishes at all. It just gives a “less than this number” amount ๐Ÿ™‚

There could be gold accents, that would probably come within the price if it wasn’t a lot of gold – or vermeil accents perhaps.

So I’ll guess for the BOTM they left the Gold finish out. Love the finishes, but I must say Ohm seems particularly impervious to the concept of upsetting people. Only one of those finishes has longevity, one other can easily be reapplied, and the others will wear off unless the copper and brass is solid instead of a coating, in which case it’s not sterling. I’ve had abysmal luck with Ohm finishes, as they never last more than a week on me. Of course I wasn’t intending to indulge anyway. The rainbow of finishes should be striking however.
