Ohm Beads Jammies Inspiration for Halloween 2018

This Ohm Beads blog brings a little inspiration for Halloween 2018 starring the Ohm Beads Jammies CustOhms.

Yesterday was all about the upcoming holidays thanks to the Trollbeads Christmas 2018 preorders. Today we’re back with Halloween as I share a little bracelet inspiration. Many years ago I tried a horror movie bracelet starring a variety of Ohm Beads. It’s been a theme I’ve wanted to revisit but the glass always proved a little tricky. When the Ohm Beads Jammies CustOhms arrived at Great Lakes Boutique just two days before the event, I knew they were perfect for this! This bracelet implies something a little gruesome so if you’re not into that kind of thing, just skip it.

The Ohm Beads Jammies were a surprise addition to the batch one CustOhms. Their base is a very pale pink and they’re covered in a bright red pattern. While the bold colour and pattern would make for great fluffy PJs, I also decided they’d look good on a Halloween slasher bracelet.

All of the beads used here are from Ohm Beads though I’ve used a Trollbeads bracelet and lock. Some of the Ohm here are long retired and others are officially retired on November the 1st. The Jammies glass are limited edition so do keep that in mind. Do note that I’ve included two of the new Ohm Beads Red Life too, just to help demonstrate the difference in colour

Ohm Beads Jammies Summary

When it comes to this batch of CustOhms, I’m still a fan of Indian Summer as I find it really versatile.

That said I generally like purple glass and though I’ve yet to showcase the Purple Dotties, they so appeal to me!

    Happy Halloween! We absolutely enjoy Halloween, especially it’s early traditions and as a children’s holiday filled with costumes and treats. That said, I’ve been stringing and restringing Halloween-themed bracelets and necklaces of various combinations for the past month with a few autumnal tossed in, and still feel like I’ve sadly ran out of time now as Halloween is over tomorrow. Love to see your inspirational theme bracelets!

      Don’t despair though! You can wear pumpkins and other fall motifs well after Halloween! I’ve focused more on fall themed bracelets this year if I’m honest :O

      • Marie

        I’ll be playing with cuter pumpkins, turkeys and other autumnal items and colors now thru Thanksgiving. I love the fall season and will be taking advantage of every possible angle I can to keep it alive as long as possible. That’s the funny thing about living in the US, we have rather precise dates for holiday/seasonal changes.

        I did a movie monster theme as my final bracelet this Halloween too; RBF Igor + TB Tower = Dracula, RBF Wolf + Moon = Werewolf, TB Scarab = Mummy, Ohm Short Circuit + Brainiac = Frankenstein’s Monter, Magic Sight = Invisible Man… it took me awhile to collect everything, but I enjoy the twist on the theme and use those beads otherwise too. While collecting my silver beads, I wore individual monster themes along the way on either a cuff or simple bracelet. I love the classic monsters, and the memories of spending Saturday afternoons watching those movies on tv. Now my family enjoys the digital copies of those same movies. :0)

    @Marie
    You are not alone with running out of time not pleased with what I have come up with but it is 5:43 am Halloween Day and I am done. As they say worst come to worst thankfully as I had kept last years intact and I did love it I will wear that today. Let’s hope we will all be Blessed in future years with time, energy and cash to buy a better bead haul to tackle the most fabulous Fall /Halloween bracelets.
    Starting on a few Christmas ones tonight.

    @Victoria
    Wow this is one bead that I could never wear not even as a focal much less in multiples. Think I would have a nightmare every time I looked at my wrist. Congratulations on your fertile mind for coming up with this one think
    it looks like what you were aiming for with the slasher look eye boggling , scary and just real messy . 🤗

    type of creation .

      Hey if you’re going to do a blood splatter bracelet, there’s really only one day 😉

    • Marie

      Angela…. Ouch, designing at 5:43am, that’s early! I agree with you, we need more time to play with our bead “hobby”. Congrats on your early start on Christmas combos, I’m waiting until Black Friday for that. Hope you have a fabulous holiday season!
