Ohm Beads Flower Collection Inspiration

This Ohm Beads blog brings a winter themed (Narnia inspired) bracelet starring the Ohm Beads Flower Collection.

One of the Ohm Beads Cyber Monday promotions was an offer on their complete Flowers Collection. I have to confess I really liked these beads when they were first released and regular readers will know that I’ve used them quite extensively since their launch. That said I was a little baffled as to how I could incorporate these into a more seasonal bracelet. Unfortunately I was so busy for the entire weekend that these images were never published but I was so pleased with the result, I still wanted to share them.

I opted for a slightly Narnia inspired creation. I always found the setting for the books absolutely enchanting. The whole winter forest setting held enormous appeal for me. My apologies that this editorial didn’t make it live in time for the promotion but I hope some of you will enjoy it anyway. Not to mention it’s nice to return to some editorial work!

Ohm Beads Flower Collection Inspiration

The Flowers Collection consisted of three beads; Lotus, Rose and Iris. They’re an openwork style and actually a little larger than I expected from Ohm Beads. They’re also really quite elegantly executed and I truly like them. I do like spherical beads in general as I like the consistency they bring to a bracelet, (there’s that OCD again.)

The colour on the bracelet comes from some wintery True Beadz shades, some True Wood beads and a couple of Trollbeads amber. The latter was meant to represent beautiful winter sunshine on snow. Aside from the three Ohm Beads Flowers, notable silvers include the Ohm Beads Gnome Home (for all the forest creatures in Narnia,) the Redbalifrog Shaman Bell to represent the White Queen’s sleigh and of course the Redbalifrog Tree Branch Lock which is a real highlight of 2017 for me.

Ohm Beads Flower Collection Summary

Most of my regular readers know I’m not really a hearts and flowers kinda girl when it comes to jewellery. I despise most floral glass with a passion. Floral silvers can be a little different for me. If I can style anything to look a little gothic or Elven, I love it. These beads kind of fall into that category for me. I really like this bracelet! I’m going to tweak it a little and perhaps add a complementary bangle or fantasy necklace but overall I love the vibe.

Slightly unrelated as not the topic of this editorial but the Redbalifrog Shaman Bell is consistently one of my favourite winter beads. Do consider it!

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Flower Collection? Did you indulge in these charms back when they were released? Hit the comments and let me know!

What a sweet bracelet! Perfect for Narnia. Some of my favorite books 🙂
And it’s nice to see some editorial work to inspire me to play with my beads!
(Plus, I’m feeling a little shopped out – that was a crazy BF weekend , trying to keep up with all the promotions – and many of them changing and in both the US and Europe. Thanks so much for helping!!!)
