Ohm Beads Celebrate Review

This Ohm Beads blog brings a dedicated review of the newly debuted Ohm Beads Celebrate, exclusive to the US market.

Yesterday saw the launch of the Ohm Beads Celebrate, an exclusive glass bead for the US market. It’s so sparkly! It’s retailing at $50 and it’s not limited aside from it’s country based availability. Ohm Beads retailers are free to ship globally however so it’s not particularly prohibitive.

This bead is brighter in reality than the stock images suggest. Specifically those firework details are brighter than I had imagined so today I’m sharing live images.

Ohm Beads Celebrate

Celebrate is a black barrel shaped glass, abundant with copper glitter. Each bead has five “firework” details on the surface. These come in blue, green, yellow, purple and red and each bead is the same in that sense. That is to say, they all have the same mixed colour details. My biggest initial fear regarding these beads was that some would perhaps lack sparkle. From what I’ve seen that is absolutely not the case. Ohm have also done a very good job in the consistency of these. Sure there is a small amount of size variation but aside from that, they’re really consistent. This is great as it makes for such easy pairing.

They also work beautifully with the new Ohm Beads Black Coffee which for the most part, is almost a black bead. Indeed with so much detailing on the Celebrate, teaming them with Black Coffee could stop a combination being too overpowering, especially if you aren’t generally a fan of glitter.

For this combination I’ve teamed Celebrate with the Trollbeads Wings of Amber. I was aiming for a bangle combination that channels the vibe of summer nights. Admittedly the bees are usually asleep by then but I was adamant that there needed to be a real icon of summer here. I’ve included the two new Redbalifrog Empty Spacers in brass and silver. As I mentioned before these are so easy to overlook as they’re in no way flashy but they’re proving really useful on bangles.

Ohm Beads Celebrate Summary

This is a really lovely glass bead. I’m slightly surprised that it didn’t appear a little earlier, in time for the 4th of July or perhaps later in the year, for Black Friday. That doesn’t detract from the design though and it really is beautiful. I have a feeling some people will not quite love the brighter details on the surface as they do bring a very stark contrast to the base but obviously that’s going to be a matter of personal choice. Frankly I’m just happy at this stage to see more Ohm glass!

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Ohm Beads Celebrate and did you pre-order? Hit the comments and let me know!

I ordered a set of this glass bead and noticed a small detail that had gone overlooked in the campaign stock photos – the center of the “fireworks” is actually clear allowing the glittery background to peek through. I like that detail! This feature can be seen in your excellent photography, and in your pretty bracelet.

  2. Lola

Why do think they put the white behind the red? That little thing ruins the entire bead for me. It looks like a sticker I’ll always be itching to peel off. I thought for sure this would be my first Ohm glass, but nope. Next!!!! I don’t mind waiting. 😀

Oh yes, now you’re talking! Your images are much better than the stock photos.
I can see the bead details so much better in your images and it’s a wonderful bead for any fireworks celebration or next year’s 4th of July Independence Day USA!

The bracelet looks great. I love the gold star in the middle. Like the American flag stars.

  5. Nereida

Wow. The stock images were subtler in color, so the edges of the color dots couldn’t be seen, so they looked like beautiful fireworks. These look like candy or Lifesavers against a glittery background. Some colors look better against the background than others. It is a beautiful background. I was all in when they looked like fireworks. I’m not sure how I feel about these.
