This Ohm Beads blog brings a little inspiration for the upcoming Ohm Beads Beltane.
Last night saw the pre-orders for the upcoming Ohm Beads Beltane begin. Beltane is exclusive to Great Lakes Boutique, limited to three hundred (300) pieces, retails at $50 and actually launches on the 1st of May. It’s inspired by the Pantone Colour of the Year, Living Coral and is the last in the series of these beads with cubic zirconia details.
Out of all of the beads in this series, Beltane has been the most difficult to photograph in terms of capturing it’s variations. Though inspired by Living Coral, the bead itself varies from very bright shades down to something a little terracotta like but those small nuances seem to be difficult to pick up.
It is a lovely colour however and though obviously amazing for the summer season, I still think it will come into it’s own during fall (but there’s a degree of personal bias here!)
All of the previous colours in this series were chosen to complement each other. Beltane was the final bead in the set and selected to target the hottest colour of the year. That said I’ve been wearing mine with Green Tambourine.
With Beltane having such a bright colour, I drew inspiration from Moroccan spice markets so this bracelet may seem to have some bizarre choices in regards to the silver beads.
Ohm Beads Beltane Summary
If you’re not a fan of orange colours in their traditional sense, it’s still worth looking at these beads as they genuinely did surprise me. I found a few that even range more towards almost burnt orange colours that instantly made me think of Halloween. My personal favourites have been the darker terracottas and then some of the brightest examples but it is a really lovely colour.
