Limited Edition Redbalifrog When Pigs Fly Preview & Pre-Orders

This Redbalifrog blog brings a preview of the new limited edition Redbalifrog When Pigs Fly as pre-orders begin immediately!

A short time ago I relayed the announcement of an upcoming Redbalifrog Valentine’s Day 2019 release. It’s a single piece debuting on January the 25th. That’s not the only launch from Redbalifrog that day however. The second is to commemorate the Chinese New Year as we’ll be moving into the Year of the Pig. Unusually for Redbalifrog pre-orders for this design begin immediately for a 25th of January release.

Redbalifrog When Pigs Fly with Golden Wings

The limited edition Redbalifrog When Pigs Fly with Golden Wings bead is a duo-tone version of their original and much loved bead. The wings have three layers of 18k gold so while the details are plated, it has been layered for additional durability. The bead will retail at $66 and there are just three hundred (300) globally. It can be pre-ordered immediately from Great Lakes Boutique via the link below:-

Redbalifrog When Pigs Fly with Golden Wings Summary

Three hundred beads globally is not a lot so for those keen to secure this bead, it’s probably advisable to pre-order sooner rather than later and of course each retailer is only going to have a certain amount available.

I always loved this design from Redbalifrog so it’s fun to see a limited edition cousin to the original and very apt for the Chinese New Year.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Redbalifrog When Pigs Fly with Golden Wings and will you be indulging? Hit the comments and let me know!

I’ve always loved Redbalifrog’s “Pigasus” charm. The American novelist John Steinbeck used a Pigasus stamp next to his name to symbolize himself as earthbound but aspiring to the stars. There’s an apocryphal story that he was once told by a teacher when he was young that he would get published only when pigs fly, but I don’t think there’s any basis for that story. Here’s a link to a picture of the Pigasus stamp and the story of its inspiration provided by Steinbeck’s wife at the Steinbeck library:
