Inspiration with Trollbeads Jumbo Unique Flowers for Spring 2018

This Trollbeads blog brings mini bracelet inspiration starring one of the Trollbeads Jumbo Unique Flowers for spring 2018.

For spring 2018 came a new assortment of Trollbeads Jumbo Unique Flowers. Some are pastel versions of the popular Lily design that appeared in kits late last year. Others are a more traditional floral pattern, albeit with an interesting base. There have also been the highly coveted Tulips but so far they have been extremely few and far between.

Jumbo Uniques never particularly appealed to me until last year when I actually got to experiment with some bracelet design ideas. Traditionally I’ve preferred my glass small and chubby and with quite small wrists, I wasn’t sure they’d really work for me. Though I can never imagine attempting a bracelet full of Jumbo Uniques, I absolutely love using them as a focal feature and the new designs for spring are just lovely. Today I’m showcasing one of those new florals.

What appealed to me most about this design, aside from some of the colours, was the fact the base of the bead looked slightly aquatic. It made me think of water lily flowers and that ultimately gave rise to this bracelet.

These designs have been appearing in a huge array of colours including the loveliest, super soft periwinkle blue that while popular has also been one of the scarcest.

This is a mini bracelet combination with the chain segmented into sections via the use of spacers (or stoppers as a couple are Ohm Beads.) I’ve used a total of three Jumbo Uniques as I was desperate to incorporate a Dragonfly into what fast became a pond themed bracelet. Other notable inclusions are the Ohm Beads Spring Refractions which was the Bead of the Month for April and is still readily available via retailers.

For the silver beads I’ve used the Trollbeads Water Lily designs including both of the spacers, the Water Lily Family and the Water Lily Lock. The Blooming Katniss Pendant is the silver flocal, though off-centre for the sake of the Jumbo Unique and the Ohm Beads Nian Nian You Yu is there too.

Trollbeads Jumbo Unique Flowers Summary

Until recently the Trollbeads Jumbo Uniques were predominantly available in the USA. They seem to have seen a slightly more global release as certain the UK and Denmark have been receiving designs. Currently we have a lot of kits for sale at Great Lake Boutique and Blooming Boutique and Trollbeads Akron also both tend to keep stocks.

For those of you who aren’t interested in the Jumbo Uniques, I will say there are new Classic Unique styles launching very soon. The new style of bugs appeared very briefly earlier in the year but appear to have been extremely limited but new kits are soon to arrive at retailers (and they are lovely.) There are also some Armadillo Kits in circulation right now with beautifully coloured Dillos.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on this style of Trollbeads Jumbo Unique Flower and did you indulge in any? Hit the comments and let me know!

I have a couple of the flower jumbo uniques like #8 on your bracelet, but in different colors. I absolutely adore them. I hope there are many more to come!

I adore the Jumbo uniques. Can’t wait to see what new styles they come up with. The ones on your bracelet are gorgeous. I love the entire bracelet. I’m planning on attending Bead Bash for the first time. Hopefully there’ll be some nice Jumbos available. I’m looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the gang πŸ˜ƒ

This is a very eclectic and beautiful bracelet Victoria. I too am attending the Bash for the first time and can’t wait to see the Troll glass. (I just saw some incredible sunflower uniques on IG too). Love the new colors and I agree the jumbos are so much fun to mix into a bracelet for visual and size interest.

This batch had been wonderful; swirls, florals, animals! The more I see them the more I see their beauty. The colors are so bright and crisp. And being bigger there’s more room for details. I love looking at your photos of these and your inspiration. I can’t wait to get a few! Obviously they will have to be the centerpiece unless I use multiples on a bracelet. Time to rearrange some bracelets 😊
