Henhousebeads Velvet Rio Grande Inspiration

This charm bracelet blog brings a little inspiration starring the new Henhousebeads Velvet Rio Grande.

During the Great Lakes Boutique Winter Wonderland Event, a new finish of Henhousbeads was launched. This is a matte version of some of the popular colours already existing in the collection. Due to it’s lovely tactile feel, it was named Velvet.

Matte effect beads bring a totally different aesthetic to a bracelet and one I’ve always appreciated. Today I’m sharing a recent bracelet combination that I love!

I’ve always admired a couple of the beads in the Aboriginal Autumn collection, specifically Rio Grande and San Juan. They have such striking patterns but I’d mostly been wearing them as focals on a bangle.

I decided what I actually needed for a bracelet to work was a simple, plain, base colour. Aspen was originally part of the New England collection and a dark sand shade. Unfortunately the glass was discontinued and the bead reborn as a spicier colour. The original is below.

We have a small inventory of Scrambled Eggs that currently look remarkably like Aspen and they were the perfect option for the base of this bracelet. The Palace of Amber Freedom with Ethiopian Opal is the focal silver though admittedly a second would have added more balance to the bracelet. The colour is perfect and there’s only a few remaining in stock here.

For anyone interested in Henhousebeads we listed all new stock just yesterday and you can find them via the link below:-

Later today we’ll be listing more Scrambled Eggs including this sandy coloured version used here.

This bracelet isn’t at all season but I love the strong contrast of colours. Using plainer beads allows the patterns on designs such as Rio Grande to stand out a little more but also stops the combination from becoming too busy.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on this bracelet and indeed on matte glass? Hit the comments and let me know!
