Henhousebeads Midnight Moon Preview

This charm bracelet blog brings a preview of the upcoming Henhousebeads Midnight Moon, the final event bead for Bead Bash on the Lake.

A couple of weeks ago we confirmed two new lines launching at Great Lakes Boutique for the fall and we’re just so excited about both of them. Where Palace of Amber specialise in amber and gemstones, Henhousebeads is our new glass artisan line. We asked both these lines if they were interested in creating something a little special for our Halloween Bead Bash on the Lake and both showed such enthusiasm and got behind the theme entirely.

For Palace of Amber is the black rutilated quartz which feels a little bit gothic and is just a lovely stone for the colder season and can make for a quite sophisticated Halloween combination.

Henhousebeads meanwhile created a lovely glass bead and that’s what we’re unveiling today as our final event bead. Though we’re aiming to avoid limited editions with Henhousebeads, this design is exclusive and limited for this event. There will be three hundred in total, retailing at $35 each and they will be available both in store and online.

Henhousebeads Midnight Moon

The Henhousebeads Midnight Moon is in some ways so simple but that’s part of it’s beauty. It’s a black glass bead featuring a crescent moon and an organic band towards the base. That band does vary and it’s meant to but in terms of sizing Cindy has done a wonderful job at trying to keep these beads as consistent as possible.

Henhousebeads Midnight Moon Summary

Initially we had intended to launch both of our new lines in store at the event and then have an online launch after. This wasn’t designed to exclude our online participant but rather to try and minimise the work for both ourselves at GLB and also our new artists. Based on the feedback we received, we decided our online shoppers deserved immediate access to the lines too and both will debut online during the event weekend. The exact schedules will be available the week before the event.

That means the first batches of Henhousebeads glass, including Midnight Moon, will go live sometime during the weekend!

With this unveiling complete, all of the event beads and exclusives have now been confirmed. Later this week I’ll be writing a summary of everything you have to look forward to so you can reference it in one place.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Henhousebeads Midnight Moon and will you be treating yourself to one? Hit the comments and let me know!

Ooh! I like the midnight moon. Especially with the organic texture at the rim. It doesnโ€™t confine itself to Halloween either which is very nice and will work beautifully with the rutilated quartz!!

    Victoria,
The Black Rutiilated Quartzย is beautiful and I am in love! Does this bead pair well with trollbeads? Are they around the same size?

    • endangeredtrolls

Well the shape is different obviously but yes they’re around the same size – accounting for the fact that there tends to be size variation in stones

Really a nice bead. But what else can we expect from Cindy? It will look great with the event beads. I think I’m going to do a black and silver and an orange and green plus silver (2 bracelets) using the event beads!

Oh, I’m late to see this preview.. but splendid Midnight Moon! The words “One Thousand and One Nights” come to my mind when I see this bead. Luckily not too late to get one during the Bead Bash. Thank you Victoria for the fantastic introduction.
