Happy Tenth Birthday Ohm Beads! (Ohm Beads Celebrate Inspiration)

This Ohm Beads blog wishes a happy tenth birthday to the brand with a little Ohm Beads Celebrate inspiration.

Today is Ohm Beads’ tenth anniversary and I’ve been working with them via Endangered Trolls for eight of those years. I’ve mentioned before that Ohm are the brand that can consistently surprise me. Trying to predict what will come next is always an exercise in futility. They’re also the brand that release designs no one else could. Fromm all of us at Great Lakes Boutique and Endangered Trolls; Happy Birthday Ohm Beads!

On that note there is a giveaway on the Endangered Trolls Facebook page and then a second on the Great Lakes Boutique Facebook page so do be sure to check those out.

Ohm Beads Celebrate Inspiration

The Ohm Beads Celebrate glass launched back in July as a US exclusive and I’m quite a fan of this design. Admittedly the firework details were brighter in person than I had anticipated but I do still love the design and they’re so sparkly! Today I’ve been wearing a super simple bangle combination in honour of Ohm’s anniversary. It features my pair of Celebrate glass, teamed with the Trollbeads Wings of Amber and two Forest Mist glass.

Ohm Beads Celebrate Summary

For those who perhaps aren’t loving the Shitty Ohm Collection, Celebrate is a lovely bead to mark Ohm’s tenth year. It’s also a design that’s going to really shine in the fall season. My only criticism of this design (and it’s more opinion,) was I felt it was more an autumnal bead and we don’t have long now until the focus will all switch to fall. It teams beautifully with Black Coffee and I’ll be showcasing that particular combination in the future too.

For now I hope you’ll all join me in wishing the entire team at Ohm Beads a very happy tenth birthday and wish them all the best for the next ten years.

Happy Birthday Ohm, you may not care but I am not impressed with your Anniversary Bead. Maybe it is just me but if the round things are supposed to represent bursts of Fireworks then they would have looked better more random in both size and placement. Instead they line up and look more like Flowers or maybe even Jellyfish.

The base of the Celebrate bead is lovely but but with those multi color things turns me off I bought Bead Fairy and Black Coffee instead, IMO I think Bead Fairy (she is so lovely and I love how well balanced she is and sits on a bangle or bracelet ) would have been a better representation for Ohm Anniversary. After all OHM brings us beads that sometimes only a Bead Fairy would think of.

I’m sorry to hear you aren’t a fan of Celebrate (though I should say it’s only “me” using it as their anniversary bead :D)

It’s good that you’re enjoying the Bead Fairy so much though. I think how people choose to honour Ohm’s anniversary should be upto them anyway 🙂

That’s actually a very good critique of one issue with this bead. We have a thing here called the Celebration of Light, and while watching the fireworks performances this year I thought about this bead. Had this come in front of me as an art piece for editing // critiquing, I would have said “it’s not ready.” That being said, it has fabulous potential, and it’s one I’d buy in multiples if it’s ever redone and “finished.”
