Celebrating the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics with Ohm Beads Winter Sports

Back in December Ohm Beads debuted their winter sports collection. This Ohm Beads blog article celebrates the start of Sochi 2014 with a look at the Ohm Beads Winter Sports Collection.

The Ohm Beads Winter 2014 collection consisted of both a series of winter spots charms and limited edition Festive Drinks. Today sees the start of the Sochi 2014 winter olympics and I decided to whip together some bracelet inspiration for those looking forward to the next two weeks of sporting activities.

For those unfamiliar with Ohm Beads, they’re fully compatible with Pandora style bracelets.

Ohm Beads Winter Sports

The Ohm Beads Winter Sports collection consists of five charms; Figure Skating, Curling, Bobsledding, Snowboarding and the Enforcer. I teamed these with the Ohm Beads Skiing charm from 2013. Other notable inclusions are the limited edition Pandora Union Jack dangle, reminiscent of an olympic medal design.

Ohm Beads Winter Sports Ordering Details

All of the Ohm Beads charms featured on this bracelet have been available for some time and can be purchased via Ohm Beads directly at the links below.

Alternatively Star Bijou, Diamonds4Ever and Perlen are all authorised retailers.

Ohm Beads Winter Sports Summary

These have a somewhat niche appeal either to fans of the individual events or those with a more general enthusiasm for winter sports. While I always enjoy the summer olympics, primarily due to their inclusion of the equestrian events, I’ve never enjoyed their winter counterpart as much. For those looking forward to two weeks of events however, these are great additions to a themed bracelet.

As always I love to hear from my readers. Are you a fan of the winter olympics? Have you indulged in any of the Ohm Beads Winter Sports collection? Hit the comments and let me know!

Great use of the TB Silver Lining beads!!!! I’ve been waiting for someone to use those in a fresh bracelet design. And I love that you included TB’s Big World, it fits perfectly! Isn’t that bobsled bead cute as a bug?!?! The skier is in the center – right where he/she should be! Love it! I think I am starting to catch on to Elfbead’s names and colors but I’m still a little confused. 🙂

    • endangeredtrolls

Yay! They feel very wintery blue skies to me so I thought they’d work well 🙂

If it makes you feel better, I’m still confused about the Elfbeads names but I’m going to sit down and try and get to grips with them (possibly take notes :P)

The Ohm figures are such fun and soooooo cute 🙂

I should think Mars needs the curling stone if she hasn’t already got it 😉

I agree with you regarding Mars and the Curling Stone 😉

It’s a cute bracelet I think and I’m going to try and actually watch some of the winter olympics, despite my personal objections to it being hosts in Russia and the fact I’ve never found the winter sports as much fun as the summer.

Love these beads. I don’t have any of them yet, but they are on my wish list.

I’m a big fan of the Olympics and watch every time they are on.

Isn’t it weird. I always watch the summer olympics but I’ve never watch the winter ones. If I can find some TV coverage next week, I’m going to sit down and give it a go! Seems a shame to miss when it’s a once every 4 years thing.

What’s your favourite sport Debra? Any recommendations for something fun to start with that I won’t need too much knowledge to follow? I reckon bobsled could be one

      xxx

  5. Debra

I like figure skating, snow boarding, speed skating and some of the skiing event.
