ACA Kreations Froggo

This charm bracelet blog brings a dedicated review of the newly debuted ACA Kreations Froggo.

Last month saw the release of new designs for ACA Kreations. First of course was the much discussed glass which sold out super fast. Second was the ACA Kreations Froggo, the first in a series of beads depicting the Seven Samurai. For reference I have absolutely no idea when the next in the series is to be expected.

Froggo is a large bead retailing at 950 DKK. That’s roughly $156, €128 or Β£112. Absolutely all of Alex’s designs are limited edition but this is still in stock and ready to ship at the time of writing.

ACA Kreations Froggo

Froggo is cored vertically not horizontally so he’s absolutely ideal for a fantasy necklace though he has been styled here on a bracelet. He’s a large piece and anyone familiar with Alex’s work will already know the level of detail he is capable of capturing.

This is meant to be an early spring inspired bracelet. I’ve used the new ACA Organic Matter which will be restocked at some stage though there is no date for that. I included a couple of Trollbeads Rocky Beach Kit beads with their neutral base. I’ve always loved these designs and like many collectors was shocked by their retirement in January. The second surprise for me were the Trollbeads Prisms and I’ve incorporated a couple of those into this bracelet too, including the long retired Anniversary Prism. The new Ohm Beads Sunflowers has sneaked in there just because it’s lovely and it is release day!

Incidentally we do have a couple of the Trollbeads Jumbo Unique Dragonfly beads in stock (individually.) If anyone is looking for one, shoot me over a message.

ACA Kreations Froggo Ordering Details

As usual the ACA Kreations Froggo is exclusively sold through the official website and shipping is from Denmark.

ACA Kreations Froggo Summary

This bead feels very similar in style to Alex’s original Hear No, See No and Speak No Evil Trolls though it’s actually larger. The detailing is amazing as you’d come to expect from Alex’s work. Obviously this bead won’t be around forever due to the limited number ever produced. All the ACA pieces seem to becoming so sought after on the secondary market so take the opportunity while it’s readily available at retail price to grab this. (As opposed to regretting it in three years time and paying three times the cost.)

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the ACA Kreations Froggo? Did you indulge in this piece or is it on your wishlist? Hit the comments and let me know!

I’m wondering if there is a shipping code for aca kreations? If I’m correct, the shipping nearly doubled the price of the bead! I had to back out of the transaction, sadly. There wasn’t a shipping rate given on the website. 174.00$ is beyond my reach for a bead, not that it’s not worth that price, it was just quite a shock to see the final total.

Ok, so I went back and read selected my bead, turns out because I don’t understand the vat stuff, I’d selected the wrong choice initially, on checkout the shipping was then displayed, much better!! I was able to obtain my second Alex kreation! Just wanted to clear that up.

Glad to hear it’s sorted πŸ™‚ Hopefully it will travel quickly πŸ™‚

Unfortunately shipping out of Denmark is really expensive these days πŸ™

  3. Nereida

I am quite shocked this bead didn’t sell out, especially given the reaction when Alex first previewed the bead. I intended to see it and purchase at bead bash, but decided for once to get it before any possible mad rushes near retirement.

    • endangeredtrolls

The thing is with Alex’s work… at least this is my personal observation.. people tend to wait and wait with buying his stuff and then get shocked when it retires and suddenly the prices rocket. I do get it… Alex’s work isn’t cheap and some have to save a long time while others struggle with the “I can get x number of this bead or 1 of this bead” issue.

I have people approach me quite often looking for things like Aer, Terra, Waves but they ignore the current retirement beads still available in Alex’s store. I wonder how many of those people in a years time will be looking for Sakura Barrel and perhaps end up paying more on the secondhand market for the plain silver version than the retirement edition is on the website right now.

So yes, I’m shocked too and I agree with you entirely. We all know his work is limited. We all know it won’t be around long. We can’t really then be shocked when retirement comes and the prices go up πŸ™

  4. Pippa

He looks great! I’m eagerly awaiting mine – hopefully arriving tomorrow!!

He looks good on your spring bracelet the colors work well for him as do the dragonflies.

    • endangeredtrolls

Did he arrive?! πŸ˜€ I only actually have one Jumbo Dragonfly myself but I’d love to see a full flight of them on a bracelet πŸ˜€

      • Pippa

YES!!! He is so cool. Great detail – every pond needs one πŸ™‚

  5. Holly

I got him last week along with some organic matter and wearing them stacked on a fantasy necklace. Love the detail especially the frog’s expression and the leaf on his back.

Look forward to seeing what comes next.

He’s a very wearable size on a necklace or bracelet.

    • endangeredtrolls

I saw your fantasy necklace in one of the groups and it was lovely. I much prefer him that was to a bracelet if honest πŸ˜€ I’m with you on the leaf detailing though. It’s very well done πŸ˜‰
